Round 2&3 NFL Draft Chat

Talk below about all the action tonight. Expecting there to be a little Jets movement in the form of trades etc, you know Mike can't sit still for too long.

Lot of good players on the board, who's going to make the Denver pick of round 2 that has everyone scratching their heads.

Well it's just about to get going.

I hope we will trade down and address our lines.

While I can’t see us trying to add another second rounder at this point I really want this team to get in the 3rd round somehow.

by colinyoung on Apr 23, 2010 6:26 PM EDT reply actions

Mcluster is a great pickup for KC.

He’s a game breaker. The Senior bowl coverage they were showing of him on NFL network was amazing.

by colinyoung on Apr 23, 2010 6:33 PM EDT reply actions

A run of QBs would be so great to have some players fall. Kindle or a good NT is going to Miami which STINKS!

by jets47 on Apr 23, 2010 6:44 PM EDT reply actions

Im loosing it on Kindle. People are saying he needs mirco surgery on his knee

Preety serious stuff considering he’s so young. It’s the same surgery Curtis Martin had at the end of his career. I bet he keeps falling.

Im praying Joseph keeps falling.

Joseph doesn’t have nearly as cool a nickname.

I had JUST decided i might like Joseph better than Cody and he got picked.

My bad. It was my fault. I jinxed it.

by Crackback on Apr 23, 2010 7:26 PM EDT up reply actions

COME ON QB RUN! let some good people fall!

by jets47 on Apr 23, 2010 7:19 PM EDT reply actions

Mays finally gets picked!

I think this is a pretty good place for him to go, actually!

by Exystence on Apr 23, 2010 7:24 PM EDT reply actions

Man, out of all the places Clausen had a sliver of a chance of going to, Carolina was the last of them. I thought Matt Moore did good last year and all indications were that they thought he could be the guy. Still, I can’t fault them for the pick. At this point he was probably BPA for them.

I will blindly predict that Moore starts the year does good, and they’ll ship him out for draft picks in 2011.

by chrebetsthebet on Apr 23, 2010 7:41 PM EDT reply actions

Worilds was a shock to most Steelers fans

No one had been following him still he seems to be decent. A couple of years on special teams and learning the defense and he may get a chance to start after that if Harrison retires.

How do I break it to the cat that since he has been declawed, the rabbit he sees in our backyard would kick his sorry butt?

what do you think of the pick David?

by chrebetsthebet on Apr 23, 2010 8:29 PM EDT up reply actions

Got to imagine something is in the works, doing my best to do the rounds and try and find out if anyone has heard anything.

Vlad is a very solid pick though, still a little raw, but I think the guy is going to be pretty special in the future. We needed some depth on the line. Really wanted Sapp or Wootten but can live with Vlad

I don’t. I admit its bc I want to grab Blount in the 4th though.

He would be a great fit without a doubt. I think his hands are under-rated too. He would be a sweet pick-up.

Laugh all you want, but look at their draft so far

Brandon Graham, Nate Allen, Daniel Te’o-Nesheim. If I had to pick a winner so far it’s a toss-up between them and San Fran from my perspective.

by Exystence on Apr 23, 2010 10:18 PM EDT up reply actions

heh

Worilds and Sanders are unknown to most Steelers fans. Many are busy looking up their video clips now. More than one wondered if we choose well. All I know is it didn’t seem to take any time at all for them to make their decisions so they seem to be getting the guys they wanted where they wanted them.

I expect both to spend a lot of time on special teams. Sanders may get in occasionally as a 3rd or 4th receiver. Worilds will probably need two years to learn the defence.

How do I break it to the cat that since he has been declawed, the rabbit he sees in our backyard would kick his sorry butt?

by Cold_Old_Steelers_Fan on Apr 23, 2010 11:57 PM EDT up reply actions

I'm not laughing at the Iggles, they got some nice players so far

and I understand the trading up perspective, I just dislike trading down so much to pick all these players that you can’t fit on your roster, like what the Pats did.

by secret defense on Apr 23, 2010 10:18 PM EDT up reply actions

Niners and Ravens have done well so far.

by SioneBAAOOOHA on Apr 23, 2010 10:19 PM EDT up reply actions

It definitely allows you to pick and choose the best players to keep for depth, and gives you some guys to sign off the practice squad at the very least in times of need. And as a team that is in a mini-rebuilding stage, tons of picks can definitely help. Plus, they can trade up to the top spot of the 4th pick to get their guy very easily.

by Exystence on Apr 23, 2010 10:14 PM EDT up reply actions

Trader Mike has some work to do. There’s some players in the fourth.

by Crackback on Apr 23, 2010 10:15 PM EDT reply actions

Leon and Kellen should be able to net us a couple of 4th rounders and 5th rounders, right?

Maybe if we trade Leon and our 4th rounder we can get their top two 4th round picks…? Kellen Clemens could get us a 5th or 6th rounder maybe? I have no idea
