Kyle Wilson is a Jet! That's the great news. Our 3 corners are undoubtedly the best and add Lowery to the mix and you have four corners who should be able to handle any passing attack in the entire league. So we have pick #61 and nothing until the late 4th round, so I wanted to start a thread where we could start to predict, suggest the Jets next move(s).
My number one suggestion is DON'T TRADE UP. If we could get two 3rd round picks OR an early 3rd and 4th I just assume do that. Regardless, I am really hoping we address one of our lines with our next pick regardless of who's on the board.
Charles Brown T
Rodger Staffold T/G
Vlad Ducasse T/G
Jared Veldheer T
John Asamoah G
Terrance Cody NT
Lindval Joseph NT
Cam Thomas NT
Alex Carrington DE
Lamar Houston DE
Arthur Jones DE
Obviously, I just listed some of who are currently available. I doubt Cody will fall to us with teams such as Miami, Buffalo, the Chiefs, Chargers, and possibly Pittsburgh and others looking for a nose. I'd be a miracle if Joseph did, and I can't see Cam Thomas dropping either. Arthur Jones I feel is too much of a reach where we currently are and I think Alex Carrington would be my guy if we went defense.
Offensively, I can almost guarantee that Brown will be taken very shortly. Veldheer is very intriguing has a Damien Woody replacement but I wouldn't take him in round 2. I may trade downinto the 3rd and gamble. Asamoah and Ducasse are very strong possibilities.
I'm not sure I would be happy with any other position. I'm not really salivating over any safeties, and I don't feel an urge to get a OLB, though someone like Sapp wouldn't be a bad move.
Anyways, my suggestion would be Alex Carrington DE, Arkansas St.
What do you hope for?
