I told myself I wasn't going to do this, but what the heck. Why not? I'm too pumped up right now to do anything thats really constructive and I can't stop thinking about the draft. So... here it is.
Round1: Terrence Cody, NT, Alabama -- fills a position of future need while also making an instant impact by allowing Jenks to move to DE and giving us a very formidable front.
Roud 2: Jason Worilds, OLB, Va Tech -- an explosive edge rusher that has the ability to climb on QBs in an instant.
Round 4: LeGarrette Blount, RB, Oregon -- would give us a nice wreckingball one-two punch in our running game and added insurance if Greene can't hold up. Leon will have to be moved either during the draft sometime or shortly thereafter.
Round 6: Syd'Quan Thompson, CB, UCLA -- playmaker corner many describe as a "Little Revis."
Round 7: Michael Greco, S, UCF -- 6-3, 224, 4.4. This former QB has very little experience playing safety but all the measurables to be a good one. Why not take a shot on this kinda guy in rund 7? http://blog.blitznation.com/2010/04/02/under-the-radar-michael-greco/
If we can get a couple picks to play with by dealing Leon or Clemens or somebody, I think we should trade up into the 2nd and pursue Vlad Ducasse, OG, UMass. Im only in favor of trading up for this guy if it doesn't cost us our 2nd rounder. I would be ok if our draft consisted of just Cody, Worilds and Ducasse.
