Wow
I just had to switch the channel from NFLN because Jim Mora is such a DOUCHEBAG. Asked how many games he thought the JETS would win in 2010, he said – and I quote – “Well they went 8-8 in 2008, 8-8 in 2009, so I’m gonna say 8.”
Dear NFL Network, Jim Mora is EXACTLY the kind of guy you do NOT want as a contributor on your programs. He’s got a whole bunch of NFL expertise, but he doesn’t do his homework when it comes to being on the air. Frankly, he’s a HAS-BEEN.
...you're a jet all the way.
I tried watching on ESPN2, and then I realized they were gonna milk it and drag it out all night long. I figured I should share this ASAP so you guys don’t have to go through that.

Mauldin Played for Columbus a few years ago, He has six career games.
Ehh
what happened to all our confidence going in? We knew who we were going to play, now everyone’s backing off because we’ll be in the spotlight? C’mon all – if these JETS are no longer the “same old,” we can’t be afraid of playing in the big ones. Big time players make big time plays, and big time teams win big time games. It’s prime time we stepped up.

Based on last years records its the 18th hardest schedule in the NFL...
I don’t think its so bad, our road opponents are Cleveland, Denver, Pittsburgh, and the Bears, those are all very winnable games.
Schedule looks tough based on last year’s performances. But its inevitable that at least one team that everybody thought would be good won’t be; and at least one team that everybody thought would suck will be .500 or better.
I just hope that we’re not the team that everybody thought would be good but isn’t. Timee to call the exterminator to make sure the injury bug stays away.
As tough as it is, and it does look tough, do you look at it and think “arr damn” to any one opponent? This is the first year that I have looked at the schedule, thought it was tough, realized it was going to be a challenge, but still had confidence that there is not a single team on there that scares me. I’m not saying we will go 16-0, not by any means. However I’m confidence that we have what it takes to beat every single team on that schedule.

Definitely.
GANG GREEN ALL DAY!
You see, it's not about how you won the game, it's about how you played the game.... there's a difference.
We have three division games in a row after Baltimore.
All of our rivals get a game in before Holmes comes back. Could that be a little Goodell payback for restructuring his salary so he doesn’t take as big a hit financially from the suspension?
Aside from Baltimore, Minnesota, and Green Bay, the rest of the schedule doesn’t look too bad to me. Denver traded away their offense, there’s Detroit, Cleveland, and Chicago, and we beat up on both Houston and Cincy last year. Overall, I’d say our own division looks tougher than the rest of the games on the schedule. I like our chances.
Cleveland will be much better this season.
Chicago we’ll stomp. Cutler holds the rock too long.
Cincy has two receivers now and might add a good pass-catching TE. Not sleeping on them at all.
Houston is a tough call until I see their draft. If they do get Matthews like people are saying, not sleeping on them either.
None of them are particularly scary in any way though. Almost any team can win “on any given Sunday,” but I like our odds against all of these teams. I wouldn’t sleep on any team either, but although these teams may have improved, nobody has improved more than we have so far!
As much as they can improve, we still have 5 picks in the draft as well…….

This is true… but speaking strictly within the division and in regards to amount of picks, they’re slated to improve more than us.
I think we'll split
With us winning the game in Miami, it will be a hot humid night.
It should be a fun year.

Lol. You’re right. But we can hope, for this one last year, that the beast will awaken. If not, then adios amigos.
I like this schedule....
All the teams on this schedule are beatable. EVERY TEAM. This schedule isn’t scary at all. If the defense steps up the way they did last year, we could very well win 11 games. I’m just being honest. Especially if our offensive passing game gets better… We’ll be set for a playoff run, no question.

“We have great expectations for our football team, and I think the league has the same expectations.”
“[Revis Island] is probably not a good place to have a honeymoon. It’s probably gonna be miserable this year.”
“[The Ravens and Patriots] are looking at their schedule and saying, ‘Ooh! The Jets are gonna be tough.’”
“Football is football regardless of when you play it. We play so many night games that it’s gonna be important to establish a routine.”

As for the Ravens and Pats comment, he started off complimenting them that there are no two tougher teams to start off your season against. But then he said, they’re probably looking at their schedule too and saying “Ooh!”.

He said JT will help the Jets be dominant, having guys that can rush the passer in the 4th quarter. He repeated that phrase a few times, “guys that can rush in the 4th quarter.”
He also mentioned the addition of Cromartie and Pool, good things obviously, but I can’t remember the specifics.

Wow. Week 11 to 15 is a gauntlet.
Thats where the season is going to be make or break. After a long first half of the season I will count this team lucky getting out of that span of games in weeks 11,12,13,14 and15 with 2 losses.

Sorry that your new stadium is going to be opened up with a loss……
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
Haha. It should be a good game against you guys. Rex said double chin straps may not be enough. It might have to be a triple chin strap game.

Wow, considering we got the AFCN and NFCN...
…we are lucky as all hell that we pretty much all the tough teams at home and the cupcakes on the road. Sweeeeeeet :]
Also B-more as the Monday Night opener, very awesome! The storylines are awesome, plus the Jets and Ravens are my picks to top the AFC this year. It’s gonna be awesome
Walcot, Lombardi, and Mora don’t even have us getting back to the playoffs but they have the DOLPHINS in??!!! And they have SD winning it all? WTF!!!!!!!!!!
lol arr well, it will be even sweeter when we prove them all wrong then.
Screw all the analysts, there usually all wrong anyway, so probably best they don’t have us doing well.

You have us getting swept by the Pats and splitting with the Dolphins and still expect us to win the division? ._.
So then...
That would mean that the Pats get swept by the Fins, and all of us sweep the Bills. And then there’s some crazy tiebreaking scenarios after that. I know we got lucky last year but come on man, lol
No wait, that's not even right
The Pats would have to then get swept by the Fins AND split with the Bills, and then us and the Fins have to sweep the Bills. OR the Pats get swept by the Bills AND split with the Fins, and then the Fins split with the Bills, and we sweep the Bills. Neither of those seems likely at all ._.
Cold weather could be a problem
Look at the last six games: 3 home plus at NE, Pittsburgh, and Chicago. 2 night games. Playing the NFC and AFC North divisions tests your cold weather ability. Sanchez improved in the cold, but he didn’t beat anyone other than Cincinnati in cold weather. Plus, we added an aging RB from San Diego and an aging pass rusher from Miami. We could use some more cold weather players. Sanchez will get better in cold weather, but he’s likely going to struggle a bit.
What... No Saints game?
Thats bull. I want another shot at thoes guys

I see two "trap games" in the schedule
The first one and the one that’s really a trap game in the truest sense of the word… @ Denver on short rest after a Monday night game while having to travel out west. Denver doesn’t look too good, but who knows—that defense looks to be improved with their DL acquisitions and will be in their second year of their new 3-4 defense.
The second is that Houston game at home. We’ll be coming off a roadtrip against two cupcakes and possibly sitting with a really good record coming into our house to face them and they should be a really good team. Seems like the perfect game to start a crash-and-burn of the season. That and the following game vs. Cincy on short rest will be the ones that determine the toughness of our team. If we make it out of there with wins then I think that’s when I’ll be able to lose my skepticism and start to really believe. >_>
I still think 11-5
It’s great that the tougher games are at home. I like playing at Cleveland and at Detroit, got to think those are wins. Sneak in 2 other road wins and you already have .500 road record at worst. If they can get through the first 8 at 4-4 or 5-3, they will be in fine position, because I think they’ll go 6-2 in the second half. Plus, remember Minny is not a great road team, and same for Green Bay. The Baltimore and Denver games loom as the huge ones (besides obvious division games with Mia and NE), because those could be teams we battle with for wild card/playoff positioning.
