With Holmes now a Jet, is Jason Taylor a necessary signing? Would Brunell be a better use of our 1 FA?

We had 2 key needs to fill this off-season; WR and OLB/DE. We may have had some other problems, but these have already been dealt with. So WR and OLB are the only areas of concern going into the draft. Now that our WR spot has been filled, we can solidify our first round selection with and OLB or a DE. I would prefer a young, straight out of the draft LB than signing Jason Taylor for 2 years. Now Brunell, you can't pick in the draft. What we need in a backup QB is intelligence, mentoring ability, and the ability to get up and play some downs if necessary. Right now Clemens only really has the last one. He can pass, fairly well. But Brunell would be a great mentor for Sanchez, and is a smart passer. You can't find that in the draft. I say, skip on JT (if it is still possible at this point) and sign Brunell, we have our 1st round focused on a great selection of DE/OLB.
