I just had a lenghty conversation with a friend that works for the Jets in a very minor role in marketing.

He told me about some rumored plans. That the Jets are looking to trade the first rounder and something else for Brandon Marshal and let Leon sign somewhere else. That way they would two second rounders to use to pick Toby Gethart and Terrence Cody. They have Gethart rated as a mid second round and Cody as a third rounder.

Now this is all supposed to be a rumor within his department and he was the one talking, but it does seem possible. I could see the Broncos taking three picks for Marshal. But I honestly dont like it. If they let Leon go they would still have that first rounder to take the best available player. And have two second rouders for those other guys, which I might add sounds like a great idea.

Please remember that this is all just an allegation and I have no way of proving he even works there anymore. He did when we met six years ago. And I know what David thinks about Brandon and that it was said that the rumor had no legs but they do seem to think is very real in Denver and the media is just waiting for it to be announced. I just hope that is disinformation by both teams.
