Around SBN: MLB Trade Rumors: Edwin Jackson to the White Sox, DC next?

It's a big day for the NFL scouts today, as some top teams will be showcasing talent. 12 are scheduled for today, some big ones, some little and one massive Marshall one......OK maybe not Marshall, but Florida sure is, and the stopwatch eyes are all on Joe Haden to see his 40 time.

Teams Scheduled for their Pro Day today

1) Arkansas State No Jets Rep
2) Arkansas Tech
3) Carson-Newman
4) Florida Jets Rep Attended
5) Fresno State Jets Rep Attended
6) Hampton
7) Illinois Jets Rep Attended
8) Marshall Jets Rep Attended
9) Michigan State No Jets Rep
10) Penn State Jets Rep Attended
11) Tennessee Jets Rep Attended
12) Williams & Mary
13) Bowling Green No Jets Rep

I can't confirm yet which of these the Jets will be attending, but I think it can be certain we are at the Penn State pro day for Odrick, likely having someone take a look at Tennessee for Dan Williams and Eric Berry. Florida will have everyone present, they usually do. So busy day for the Jets scouts, when I get official confirmation about attendance, will put it in the comments section.

Brandon Spikes timed in the 40 at 5.05

ouch!!!

Still no word on tebow’s unveiling of his new “Blue Steel” look.

Heard that although his throwing motion is better, he still drops his arm too low, which is the main problem, so he isn’t impressing anyone.

Spikes should of come out last year.

Confirmation by Scout.com that the Jets were at the Tennessee pro day today.

Interestingly Miami were not, and they are being strongly linked to Dan Williams.

Did everyone see that Haden got that 40 time up, everyone was hitting the panic button after his combine time, but I think he ran a 4.39 today, I have read it was either 4.39 or 4.44.

Hmmm. If you’re thinking what i’m thinking, if he’s there at 29 he won’t be for long after that.

Was thinking that we could have interest, although I still think we would need to move Leon, to take a RB in the first two rounds.

Just read we scheduled a visit with Matthews. I def agree Leon has to be moved. I don’t think we’ll get a 2nd for him though. Might not even get a 3rd in this year’s class.

I’m hoping we could get a third for him, a few teams were rumoured to be sniffing around with a 2nd…..a low 3rd is possible.

Of course getting a looksy at Odrick, but what do you think about Bowman?

by Crackback on Mar 17, 2010 11:12 PM EDT up reply actions

Quick, agile guy, good burst, might be someone to consider if we don’t take a pass rusher with the first pick

Any word on how Adrian Tracy did and if the Jets were there?

by jets47 on Mar 17, 2010 11:55 PM EDT reply actions

I took a look at W&M website and there were some pictures. I did see a guy from the Jets and he was seen specifically in front of the line timing safety David Caldwell, and Sean Lissemore who is an undersized DT who they may look at an end. I didn’t see the Jets rep with everyone and I’m sure if its standard procedure to take notes of everyone or just those who the team has sent. Not enough pictures or views to determine his every move but I hope they looked at Tracy. I think I saw him with at least 10 other teams.
