Jets And Giants To Play Opening Weekend

So with all the fuss today about who will be opening the stadium, it seems the Giants will play Sunday followed by the Jets on the Monday Night game. Jets will also open the stadium in the pre-season.

Breaking: Giants and Jets to play at home on opening weekend. Giants on Sunday, Jets on Monday. Makes sense.

That's fine with me.

That may be but they financed half, saying it’s our house, is just as bad as the Giants fans we complain about who say it’s there’s. lol

It’s both our houses

Pretty sure you have to win something in the last 40 years...

…for it to be your town.

At least that’s what would seem logical.

Jets – Dolphins first Monday Nighter of the season at home! Think Rex will have extra incentive to win this one??

Does it really matter?

I don’t care who opens the stadium, I would much rather see the Jets be the ones to close the stadium after hosting the AFC championship game. BTW, I’d also like to see pigs fly. We can dream, can’t we?

There go. Im not so bad sometimes. ; )

It would be huge locally, and probably pretty big nationally. Im sure the Jets will be chatty and the Giants won’t back down. ESPN would def pick up on the verbal jabs going back and forth take this little spat national. Everyone would eat it up. NY would be nuts.

by Crackback on Mar 15, 2010 7:08 PM EDT up reply actions

I agree

If it was on MNF, it would by default be a HUGE national stage. Honestly, I think the Jets lost the coin toss but ultimately won by getting the national stage on MNF while the Giants play Sunday afternoon when other games are being shown in other markets.

AFC rematch MNF

JETS VS COLTS
A LITTLE SCARY BUT I THINK IT WOULD BE A GOOD GAME

Would be decent, although were not scheduled to play the AFC South this year…..it’s the AFC North isn’t it? not looked at the scheduling in detail for next year yet to work out who we have.

Right

Jets play the AFC North, Texans, and Broncos (and division games) in the AFC this year.

JETS-GIANTS on MNF!!!!

They should reschedule it so that the teams we’re supposed to play play each other, and the Jets and the Giants can square off for naming rights to the Stadium.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How about this...

Jets open the new stadium by welcoming their old (and I mean OLD) friend…Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings! 2 of the final 4 from last season, getting revenge on Brett for tanking on the Jets, and LDT showing the Vikings what they missed out on. Sounds pretty sweet to me!

by BWJ on Mar 16, 2010 7:21 AM EDT reply actions

I have no problem with this

I like when we play on primtime anyway

I Believe in 2010

by Jadden Hopkins on Mar 16, 2010 8:24 AM EDT reply actions

Jets look like winners here.

We open the preseason and play the first football game of any kind in the stadium. Then we get to open our season in front of a national audience.

and the home of the... JETS!!!
