Knew it. Rex likes Cody. Although they have a good pair of corners down in Bama as well. I wonder if Cody is legit. Some say he’s lazy, but then you see his athleticism when they lined him at FB and when he blocked 2 FGs during the season. He WAS a dominant force for 2 years in the SEC. Didn’t really think we needed a DT, but if Rex thinks Cody can be a stud then im all for it.

Let Jenkins

play DE. Keeping hearing Douglass is iffy to return, but don’t really know. Should do wonders for Jenkins healthwise.

If Cody can be a monster im all for it. Jenks would be tough to deal with as a DE, he’s just too disruptive.

Agreed crackback.

Jenkins is getting up there and coming off a torn ACL, so if Rex really is impressed with Cody we could always move Jenkins to end.

First thing I was thinking when I saw that article; a potential successor at the nose for Big Jenks. Not familiar with this player but ceratinly an area we can improve. Only two options for the first round in April: A disruptive force on the d-line who can stuff the run (our starting DL’men are getting long in the tooth) or a pass rusher offenses will have to account for. What’s scary is that our coaches may be relying on Gholston to emerge in this department, and the odds of that happening are between zero and nil..
