So who won’t get an offer from the Jets? what do you all think?
I can’t imagine us offering Drew Coleman, possibly Green as well. Ihedigbo/Murrell and Wright I all expect to get offers.

I like the listings for all except Brad and Leon should be worth higher….
It says 4th round for each, I don’t know if that is right.

Thats just where they were drafted. Not sure if they’re locked into using that though. Logic tells me they can’t be tendered for lower than their draft slot, but I don’t know about higher.
I know higher is possible. I don't think lower.
Question.
TJ still has one year left on his contract, why not pay the man 3mil, he was paid 900,000 this past season.
I think. so 3.9 million for a 1400 yard season is worth it. Doesn’t he have one more year after the pay?
Isn’t his agent, Rosenhaus, a player like him to have Rosenhaus, makes me feel negotiations are tough?

I don’t particularly know the numbers, but I remember reading that TJ’s contract was front-loaded so the majority of his pay was given early and that is why the back end is so low.
I’m around 85% sure that TJ will either be cut or traded, just can’t see either party backing down, and if your TJ why would you, it’s your original contract you agreed on, and your coming off a career year.
The lowest possible tender is the round you were drafted, you can’t go lower than that.

What happens
If the Jets don’t offer a RFA a contract and neither does another team? How long before they become a UFA? Or will they always be a RFA?
I think if a player doesn’t receive an offer by the deadline of the 4th of March, then he automatically becomes a UFA when the new league year kicks in on March 5th.

Ok...
So then essentially if the Jets do not make an offer to one of their RFA’s then they become a UFA? That is why Braylon Edwards is almost certainly going to remain a Jet because no team will give up a 1st round pick to sign him. I still don’t understand why they are going to offer Clemens a contract.

Maybe they think they can get something for him…maybe not necessarily a 2nd round pick, but they could sign him to that sheet, then if nobody offered up the 2nd, they could keep him and trade him for a 4th-5th round selection……or if he will stay, and I don’t think he wants to, we might just keep him. I just don’t think we want to get nothing in return for a 2nd round pick.
