Alright Jets fans. I think every pick makes some sense. Tried not to show any bias, as you can notice, I have the Pats taking the guy I wish the Jets would grab.
St. Louis Rams | Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska | I think the Rams have to take the best available here.
Detroit Lions | Gerald McCoy,DT, Oklahoma | Detroit needs an interior defensive lineman. Whichever falls to them.
Tampa Bay Bucs | Eric Berry, S, Tennessee | The Bucs need to improve their defense and Berry might be the best player in the draft.
Washington Redskins | Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma | Shanahan probably wants to bring a new guy in, assuming he likes Bradford more than Clausen.
Kansas City Chiefs | Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State | Picking Okung can help the line immediatley and shift Brandon Albert back to RT or his more natural LG spot.
Seattle Seahawks | Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers | Davis needs some work but can become the best Tackle in the draft, Seattle needs to replace Walter Jones
Cleveland Browns | Joe Haden, CB, Florida | The best corner in this draft. Will help a very weak Browns secondary.
Oakland Raiders | Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma | Hey its Al Davis. Who knows what you'll get. But he's still committed to Russell, and needs some help on the line. Williams needs to impress at the combine to be taken here, but no way Al picks another Iowa tackle.
Buffalo Bills | Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame | I think OT is more of a need at the moment but they'll want a new QB. Sounds like a potential bust with McShay even comparing him to Losman. Kind of ironic that he played for Weis who took Gailey's job
Jacksonville Jaguars | Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, South Florida |
Denver Broncos | Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State | This is assuming they trade Marshall.
Miami Dolphins | Rolando McClain, LB, Alabama | ILB is a need for the Phins and McClain fits the bill as a 3-4 Inside LB. I don't see Parcells drafting a reciever so high.
San Francisco 49ers | Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa | Bulaga slips a little and the 49ers benefit.
Seattle Seahawks | C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson | Seattle gets the best playmaker in the draft.
New York Giants | Brian Price, DT, UCLA | Giants are going defense. The question is who will it be? They need help everywhere. I think they will start with the DL. Dunlap or Spikes could be an option too.
San Francisco 49ers | Earl Thomas, S, Texas | can improve their secondary by selecting the next best all around saftey in Thomas.
Tennessee Titans | Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech | Morgan could be the best DE in the draft and the Titans get a steal here
Pitssburgh Steelers | Dan Williams, DT, Tennessee | They may need to replace Casey Hampton. Could also go with an offensive lineman
Atlanta Falcons | Sergio Kindle, OLB, Texas | Kindle can give the Falcons a much needed presence for an otherwise weak front 7. Also Kyle Wilson is an option. I think with the plethora of corners, they wait.
Houston Texans | Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State | When you want to beat the Colts, you need as many quality corners as possible. Wilson is the best available. Also an insurance policy for Daunta Robinson.
Cincinnati Bengals | Golden Tate, WR, Notre Dame | Carson Palmer needs another weapon. Tate could be a valuable asset. Could also look TE here.
New England Patriots | Brandon Graham, DE/OLB, Michigan |
Green Bay Packers | Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland | Aaron Rodgers is probably lobbying hard for some protection here.
Philadelphia Eagles | Carlos Dunlap, DE, Florida | Eagles are looking for a impact DE. Dunlap has character concerns but is an impressive athlete with great size.
Baltimore Ravens | Arrelious Benn, WR, Illinois | Even with the addition of Donte Stallworth I think they look to Benn. Stallworth is not a long term solution and comes with question marks.
Arizona Cardinals | Jerry Hughes, OLB, TCU | Arizona needs someone who can put pressure on the QB. Hughes is the best available.
Dallas Cowboys | Miek Iupati, OT/OG, Idaho | An absolute steal for the cowboys. Can play tackle or guard and Dallas needs some protection for Romo.
San Diego Chargers | Javhid Best, RB, California | No LT. Need a dynamic back. Other option may be a nose tackle or 3-4 DE
New York Jets | Jared Odrick, DT/DE, Penn State | I think Odricks too good to pass up here. Corner is the obvious position but there are still 4-5 that haven't been taken and hopefully one slips. Devin McCourty is an option too.
Minnesota Vikings | Patrick Robinson, CB, Florida State | Minnesota could use a corner if there is no QB worth taking. Their secondary was the weak link last season.
Indianapolis Colts | Maurkice Puncey, OG, Florida | Odrick if the Jets pass on him. Puncey could help a relatively weak line and could be Jeff Saturday's replacement when the time comes.
New Orlean Saints | Navorro Bowman, OLB, Penn State
Their linebacker corps could be improved. |
