New York Jets at New England Patriots Simulation on What If Sports
This week's simulation on What If Sports predicts yet another thrilling game with a stunning finish. The Jets win another game at the gun by a 26-20 score. Gang Green overcomes a 17-7 deficit after three quarters. Gang Green also overcame a late deficit in dramatic fashion. Trailing 20-17 in the final minute, Nick Folk snuck a 24 yard kick through the uprights. The Jets then forced a three and out. The game looked destined for overtime until Mark Sanchez hit Santonio Holmes on a 50 yard Hail Mary as time expired.
Holmes finished with 5 catches for 127 yards and 2 touchdowns. Braylon Edwards added 4 catches for 89 yards. LaDainian Tomlinson ran for 83 yards on 14 carries and added 2 catches for 19 receiving yards. Shonn Greene had 10 carries for 54 yards.
Gang Green held Tom Brady in check. Brady was 13 of 24 for only 122 yards with no touchdowns. Wes Welker led the Pats with just 5 catches and 37 receiving yards. New England did have a big game on the ground, though. Benjarvis Green-Ellis ran for 94 yards on 14 carries, while Danny Woodhead added 87 yards on 9 carries. Both took a carry into the end zone.

hehe
If its not mathematically impossible then its not wholly improbable
The simulation can have Gisele replacing Brady at QB and taking 8 safeties….
PLAY THE GAME
Eh
Whatifsports kept predicting the Patriots would lose this year – whatifsports thought they ought to be a sub-0.5 team. Shrug.

What if, Whatifsports are a bunch of MORONS!
So the Patsies are going to run for 181 yards and 7.9 yards per carry on the Jets? Are the people who run this trash tweekers? There is definitely some kind of illegal substance or homoerotic Justin Beeber (Brady) crap going on over there.
The Patriots are not the Texans
They don’t give up miracle Hail Mary’s to cost them the game.

The Patriots also
Don’t throw a deep pass on 3rd down with 39 seconds left on the clock and the Jets out of timeouts. Check the 4th quarter play-by-play.
The simple fact that this is the Patriots’ final offensive play means that this simulation is invalid.
Sounds like John B ran a couple of simulations, picked out the one with the Jets winning, and posted it, rather than running at least 100 and saying who won the most (which I think is the Pats, 60% of the time)
Regardless of the simulation, it should be an entertaining game, but one with normal play-calling (except on 4th downs for NE, and Sexy Rexy / Schottenheimer’s clock mismanagement)

Wrong! One was run. This is how it turned out. I’m sorry you don’t like it, but I can’t control that.

Alright.
But one simulation (particularly one with suspicious play-calling) means nothing. Any team can beat any other team in a one-off game. By running the sim more and more, luck has a smaller and smaller influence on the result, and the better team wins more and more.
As for the win percentages, I think it was about 60%.
I use WhatIfSports quite a bit, particularly when in a drunken depression and trying to show myself just how lucky the Giants were to win one particular game in AZ.
