Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie Could Sit Out Against Buffalo Bills
The Jets could face the Bills on Sunday without starting cornerbacks Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie, coach Rex Ryan said Friday.
Revis, with a hamstring injury, and Cromartie, with a groin injury, were limited in practice and listed as questionable.
Asked if there was a chance the two would sit out, Ryan said, "There's a chance of that."
I would like to see the Jets play Sunday's game to win and go all out. The only exception is on banged up players. If rest will make Revis and Cromartie better for next weekend, they should sit. Getting Kyle Wilson extra reps and experience wouldn't be the worst thing for his development.

I too want and expect the Jets to go all out to win this game, besides for injuries.
I really hope the Jets can pull this one out. Being 15, i have never experienced a 11-5 record or anything better.
well I hope drew colemen get extra reps and looks ALOT better….and maybe grows a foot

if theres a chance at re-injury or if they could really use the time to heal, then they should sit.
But if both their pulls are really minor and the risk of re-injury is minimal, then I’d like to see them play.
Put them in a rotation, where the subs are playing some with one of them opposite and some without either of them. That way we limit their snaps significantly and cro gets some snaps in revis’ role and the subs get some snaps as if one of them is out and as if both are out.
That way we’re not totally giving it away to buffalo, and everybody gets a real taste playing with each other in different combos.

Basically start both revis and cro. Then pretend one of them are hurt for a stretch. Then pretend they’re both unavailable in the 2nd half.

I agree about Kyle Wilson. He has been a somewhat hidden reason for the failures of the team. As one could tell from how crazily he was dumped into the fire from game one Rex not only had high hopes, but also great NEED of him as the third guy. And pretty much unless he makes a quantum jump I don’t see the Jets going far in the playoffs. The fact is, even if Coleman or Lowery play up to specs, the Jets NEED an additional guy who can make the plays in the backfield (well, both backfields really).
Maybe Kyle Wilson is jump started, given a second chance at the same exposure he had game 1.
Revis should sit
not sure about Cro, depends on how bad that groin injury is

Sit 'Em
I don’t really care that much about the 11th win considering it won’t change anything regarding their playoff seeding, so I’d sit whoever needs to so that they are healthy for next week. That is MUCH more important to me than this meaningless game. I also would like to see more Wilson, Lowery, and Coleman this week considering at least one of them will be counted on next week to start in a lot of packages and they could all use more game experience.
Sit Em
I’m all for sitting for a great part of the game if not all in some cases many of the older Jets. It’s been a taxing season in a number of ways for the Jets both on and off the field and Jason Taylor, Sean Ellis, LT, Woody, Thomas and then the beat up – Revis, Cromartie and Holmes could all use the break. A great deal is being made of the Patriots playing their guys most of the last game. Brady says that’s what they do- is play football. Well, they’ve got a bye so they have a week to rest and heal. The Jets will have to play one game longer than the Pats and other higher seeds with home advantage. Many of the Jets could use the rest and some players like McKnight, Gholston and Wilson could use the game experience against a competitive Bills team that throws the ball very well.
happy new years john matt dvd and every one esle i hope every one gets laid and the jets win =]
Gang green nation!
we won the f#%ing game now lets go get a goddamn snack!
Sit um?
I think we lose with both down. The Bills are always up for us and the Passing attack has been their strength. Their record isn;t as bad as it seems with some tough loses.
Dying to see how the new corner signed off the practice squad do.
He was the UFL defensive player of the year. Just want to see someone who knows how to play the ball in the air. Can’t stand seeing a defensive back not turnaround to make an attempt for the ball. I’ve seen it too many times this season.
+10
Agreed, I had to look him up, I don’t if people know he’s the brother of the pro-bowler Marcus from 2008. Hopefully it keeps in the family, he’s a CB after all maybe he’ll be what we need at 3rd/4th DB.
Personally, I can’t wait to see Mcknight, Wilson, Connor get extended time tomorrow finally get to see what they are capable of before the playoffs.
"Minor" injuries?
If I recall, Revis had a hamstring “tweak” when he injured himself further covering Randy Moss against the Pats. At this stage of the season, any minor injury can easily become severe and with the Jets D scheme so dependent upon their corners, I’d recommend ressting them as well. You’re not getting the Buffalo starting QB, so let’s see what we’ve got (and what we’ve drafted) with an eye towards future seasons as well.
