New York Jets at Pittsburgh Steelers Simulation on What If Sports
What If Sports likes the Jets to end their losing streak today, winning 15-14 over the Steelers at a chilly Heinz Field. Nick Folk is the hero, nailing 5 of 6 field goal attempts. On the other side, Jeff Reed, apparently resigned by Pittsburgh just before the game, missed 3 kicks, including a 60 yarder in the final minute that would have won it.
Mark Sanchez had a solid game, completing 16 out of 33 passes for 238 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. The offensive line did not allow a sack. Santonio Holmes was New York's leading receiver in his return to Pittsburgh. He had 4 catches for 75 yards.
Pittsburgh was victimized by questionable play calling. Ben Roethlisberger was 14 for 18, but the Steelers ran it 33 times for only an average of 3.7.
