At 6-2 the Jets are doing just fine.I would, however , like to nit pick just a tad. I am a very big supporter of our management and coaching staff. I am also not blind. Wilson, our first rounder has been less than stellar when pressed into service-he just doesn't look all that good. The physical skills are there, but technically unsound and penalty prone. Vlad has rarely seen the field as has McKnight. Connors is a contributor and in the rotation consistently both on offense and on special teams. I have pointed out often that the Jets draft this year really should include Braylon and Cromartie because some 2010 picks were used to acquire these players. That being said, our true picks have been the worst performing, least active group by far in the last 5 years.
That is not to say they won't develop, or mature, and to be fair it is only one half of a full season--but I didn't want it to go unnoticed, or remarked upon. Tanny's method of picking fewer , higher quality picks is sound. But it is based on fewer misses. My point here is that I am presently concerned-not panicky-but concerned.
