What do you mean? There's tons to complain about.
First of all, Schottenheimer still has a job. Secondly, the penalties are atrocious. Thirdwise, he still hasn’t figured out that always max blitzing on 3rd downs pretty much leads to the opposing offense sending their WRs deep and leaving the middle of the field wiiiiiiide open for a TE or RB. Fourthly, Schottenheimer is still the OC. Fifth of all, holy crap can we please stop running into the kicker? I’m surprised Westhoff didn’t cut his ass right on the field!
Rex can not be satisfied
Sure the team showed resolve and that will be great down the road, but it should never have been needed if you werent so stubborn in allowing schottenheimer to continue to call plays the way he did and blitzing every 3rd and long to the same result, blitz 1 or 2 extra guys, get absolutely no pressure on the QB, then he finds his TE or slot receiver over the middle for 15 yards. Maybe adjust? throw in some zone? stop being so predictable? How bout you get a little more our of your front 3 (4). Major changes need to be implemented or the Jets are going to get absolutely embarrassed at Cleveland.
I have to blame Rex
for the penalties if nothing else. Its sloppy and worse, consistently sloppy play. While some of them have been good penalties (There was a penalty on Slauson that probably saved Sanchez’s ass from a vicious hit during the Ravens game) a lot of them have been stupid false starts/holdings. On top of that, burning two timeouts in the second half because you twice had 12 men on speaks to bad defensive play calling somewhere on the totem pole and that is ultimately on Rex.
In his defense I will say that the overall defensive play calling looked a lot better this game although the slot still remains a problem. On the other hand this only highlights the problems with the offensive play calling. Rex ultimately is responsible for the amount of rope that Schotty has in terms of play calling. At some point he needs to step in and stop him from hanging himself. Given his presser comments re: Schotty, that doesn’t seem likely any time soon which is problematic in and of itself.

I don't get how people change their vote week to week
The question isn’t “Do you approve of the job Rex Ryan did last game as head coach of the New York Jets?” It’s do you approve of the job he’s doing. Unless you see some sort of pattern of mistakes that you disapprove of, there’s no way you could reasonably change your vote from “Yes” after a win to “No” after a loss back to a “Yes” after a win.
I see a pattern
Of costly penalties and bad clock/personnel management. Not saying I disapprove of his overall job but there are coaching flaws for sure and they seem to be mounting, lets hope he takes care of them.
That's a fair arguement
But there needs to be some consistency in the voting or what does this poll prove, other than that people are happy after wins and upset after losses.
I approve...
But I do so with the knowledge that, realistically, Rex is only second year head coach and some of his philosophies go against the grain. That’s not ALWAYS going to work and it’s going to take time and experience to work out.
Overall, I’m happy with the team, the players and the attitude.
Now if we could just get someone on the coaching stuff that knows how to run an offense…
