VIDEO: Derek Anderson Takes SH** REAL SERIOUS; Does Not Find Funny, But We Do
This may be one of the top ten press conference videos of this decade -- up there with the Denny Green "THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE" implosion for sure.
(We don't usually post non-AFC content, but this post-game presser reaction by QB Derek Anderson from last night's Niners-Cardinals game was priceless.)

DONk
He got called out and went into caged animal mode…
What a tool… his wonderlik must have been through the floor
I feel as though I would react similarly.
They were pretty much asking how serious about his job he was, although indirectly. No matter what kind of mood I am in and how serious I take something, an amazing joke would make me laugh. Pretty much any situation and that could happen to me, laughing at the wrong time. Maybe his reaction to the reporter was a bit much, but him laughing on the sideline had nothing to do with how seriously he takes football, he wasn’t laughing at the impending loss. He could have answered the person directly and said what he was laughing at, but I don’t think he had to.
Darrelle Revis once won a game of Connect Four in three moves.
Why did the context about what they were talking about matter?
Darrelle Revis once won a game of Connect Four in three moves.
Completely agree
I think many of us, and just about all professional athletes would take offense to how the reporter wouldn’t let up about him smiling/laughing. It meant nothing, and this reporter is reading too much into something that was nothing or trying to pick a fight.
So yes, while he blow up is rather comical, I also don’t think he was out of line with how he handled his response. The reporter wouldn’t back down, so he walked away.

I'm totally on his side
God forbid a human being laughs at some point. I think all of us have been having a terrible day on the job and something made us laugh anyway.
Tbh it wasn’t really even that funny of a blow-up. Nothing classic will come out of this. No “diddly-poo” or “playoffs!?!?!?!” or “YOU PLAY. TO WIN. THE GAME.” or “they are who we THOUGHT THEY WERE” etc. Bah humbug!
He's completely right
These guys love the game, they work their whole lives to reach the pros. When they lose they take it hard, but are players supposed to sulk every time they lose? Should he be crying? Is he not allowed to enjoy life after a loss? Anytime a reporter (or person) questions an athlete’s dedication based off of their perception of the athlete’s personality, I lose respect for that person’s opinion regarding sports.
