Brad Smith: Bengal Killer
Brad Smith destroyed the Bengals when the Jets played Cincinnati last year Week 17, rushing for 92 yards. He did it again tonight. While Cincy held him in check in limited snaps from the Tiger formation, Smith went off for a pair of long touchdowns in the second half, providing the Jets their biggest sparks in a 26-10 victory. One was a 53 yarder on an end around early in the second half. The other was on an 89 yard kick return.
The Jets held serve at home and will go into Foxborough a week from Monday at 9-2, matching their opponent that night with the league's best record.
The official recap will be up soon. Celebrate below.

I love Rexy's comments on the Pats
“Maybe they’ll have to play better, too”
Right on, it’s not like any of these teams are perfect. Can’t wait for that Monday night game!

Not quite sure what all the Gholston fanatics are seeing that I’m not. Haven’t checked the stat line, but I was at the game at didn’t notice him being involved in, well, anything…

Gholston showed improvement
He actually was getting good pressure on the QB. Granted it’s not what you would expect from a top 10 pick but I think most of us realize he’s not that great. This was probably the best I’ve seen him play.

This feels like the Quickest we have gotten to 9 Wins in a long time.
Was the last time the year we got to 9 wins this quickly the year Vinny T lead them to the Conference championship?

If you can touch it, you can catch it.
It’s still amazing how rare it is for Jets teams to get to double digit wins, only 7 times since 1980

Brad Smith is awesome...
…and he adds so much to your offense. When he’s on the field, even as a receiver, it’s always dangerous. Is he going to run the end around? Will he pass it? Will he go catch it? It’s pretty darn impossible to cover him man on man. He’s a talented player. It was fun to watch him.
I thought Calvin Pace was playing much better!
I think the injury was still bothering him because he looked faster and was getting off blocks much better.
I am concerned that it takes so long for our offense to click. We still aren’t getting 60 minutes of football out of the Offense. The Defense played great in the second half. That was nice to see especially all the pressure on the QB and stopping the run!
