Miracle Jets Go to the Well Again
We are running out of adjectives. This team keeps putting itself in impossible situations and keeps fighting out of them. The Jets had today's game won. Then they had it lost. Then their second year quarterback made a pair of incredibly perfect clutch throws and provided his team with a miracle victory.
Once again, there is plenty this team needs to correct. These guys have developed disturbing tendencies in not putting games away. Keep the complaints in check, though. If you are anything less than thrilled right now, I'm not sure how you get any enjoyment out of football.
Celebrate below. The official recap will be up later.

Another great win when I was sure we were finished
Not exactly how we should be playing our games but who cares, that’s win number 8.
It’s getting to be time for the Sanchez nay sayers to quiet down.

I don't wanna say we've lucky but
we can’t keep winning games like this. Eventually we’re gonna regress to the norm, If we can’t blow out the Bengals who just gave up 49 to the Bills, the same Bengals team who will essentially be playing without TO and Ocho for most of the game we’re not gonna be playing in February

1. Shonn Greene’s fumble would not have cost the Jets the game if they lost. The defense completely collapsed down the stretch, and the offensive line totally failed to protect the QB.
2. That pass to Braylon Edwards was one of the best passes I’ve ever seen. He literally placed it in his hand 40 yards down the field. Amazing.
3. They should put in a rule that a completion to Santonio Holmes should not have to be reviewed. It’s just a waste of time. He always has possession and he always has both of his feet in bounds.

2010 cardiac kids
The jets are the 2010 cardiac kids. Another last second comeback for a win, how awesome is that.
Our defense broke down again and our OC confirms his stupidity. Why is Sanchez taking snaps from behind the center on the 2nd to last drives. The shotgun would have gave sanchez more time.
Congrats guys.
I picked you all to win the Super Bowl this year, and with Holmes, you guys can get there.
Also, thanks for winning. Anything that gets our Head Coach closer to being fired helps.

umm...you're welcome?
Would kubiak make a good OC? Cuz we’d be glad to take him off yer hands.
Good game, yall have an underrated team. Get rid of Kubiak and the DC, you’ll be dangerous.
Yea, I think Kubiak would be an above average OC.
Once he’s fired after this season, he will be a highly sought after OC in the off-season.
Our DC is actually pretty funny. He doesn’t understand defense, at all. I prefer low scoring games to a shootout. A Texans fan that likes low scoring games, go figure.

GG Texans. Tough loss on your end.
And I must say the fans at BRB are knowledgeable and good humored. Always liked the Texans, kind of the anti-Cowboys
We're not surprised at all about the 80 yard drive in 49 seconds.
We’re just used to it now. Last game was a good example. only the Jags went 80 yards in 10 seconds.

That was awesome! One minute he’s running his mouth to Seymour, next thing you know he’s on his back with his feet in the air like a little bitch.
Not that I had a lot of respect for the guy in the first place, since rape allegations follow him around more closely than his own shadow, but that made him look like such a punk.

This might be the game
that we look back on and say this is when Mark Sanchez became a top tier quarterback. He was magnificent today. That said, this team is bumping up my blood pressure to dangerous levels.
Honestly
I think that happened last week, when he showed the ability to lead the Jets despite his injury. His maturity is really the big story for the team this year, and how far his leadership and now his skills have progressed. He was brilliant today, especially when considering how much pressure he was consistently under.
David Eckstein: so gritty they would eat him in the south for breakfast with some butter and sprinkle cheese.
I watch these games every week and end up scratching my head.
This is a team that finds ways to win. Some seasons go the other way and get bad breaks the 2010 Jets get all the good ones.

Hate to beat a dead horse or dead OC, but
look at the plays called. You run up the middle with LDT, take him out and the next play do a pitch right to SG. It don’t make no sense. Keep SG running up the middle and LDT should run all the outside or off tackle run play. Also, why don’t you max protect when you lose your starting right tackle for the game.
I think you're splitting hairs a bit..
while I do agree with what you said, I think BS had a decent game, perfect no not at all, but at least he realized where the strength of this passing game is (slants, mid-deep routes, Holmes) and it finally had some rhythm to it, not just last second desperation. I know part of it was Houstons secondary sucks, but at least he was calling the plays.
Its classic Schottenheimer
He thinks the defense expects SG to run up the middle, so he runs a pitch, he thinks the defense expects LT to run outside so he runs him up the middle. Too bad it didnt work
LT runs great up the middle
Today, not so much, but recently he’s been having trouble with a lot of runs. Maybe it’s time to just use him as a screen receiver for a while. SG does fine on the outside too

I have little complaint about the performance…..was it perfect…..not even close. However we have a whole week to go over what went wrong which led us having to march down the field with 40 seconds to go, and who’s to blame. I think that’s what John meant by, lets keep the complaints in check here, enjoy and then blast, Schottey, Greene, Eric Smith, and whoever else….later in the week.
With that said though…..my biggest complaint is with the fans…with what has happened over the last couple weeks. How the hell are you going to leave a game with 40 seconds left on the clock and multiple home run hitters on your team, while you are down by 4. That was the toughest thing to take as a fan of the franchise today.

On the bright side
The Bills, possibly far and away the worst team in the NFL, rivaled only by the niners, ran nearly 50 points up on Cincinnati.
We’ll probably beat them by a point at the end of the game too.
Hopefully people don’t take that as complaining.
GGN Moderator, House pessimist, veteran arm chair coach.
www.GangGreenNation.com
disagree
bills are not nearly the worst team in the NFL, despite it them taking the longest to get a win. Carolina is pretty clearly worse, with Detroit minus Stafford also down there. Feels like Bills have really had more problems with defense than offense.
But yeah, cinnci’s defense has had some serious issues.
David Eckstein: so gritty they would eat him in the south for breakfast with some butter and sprinkle cheese.
I think Detroit is a better team
with or without Stafford.
But yeah I forgot about the Panthers. Yeesh. What a mess on their hands.

Absolutely
I was at the game, would never leave if there is a mathematical way to win and was sickened by the peeps who spent most of the game eating, drinking and sleeping, it really is amazing how many fans sit on their hands while a few hardy souls give as much as some as the players in how they cheer on their team. Live sporting events should be your opportunity to show your pride, it does take some fitness and energy to be a good home team. Maybe rex can make a video on how to get your mojo going.
Forget keeping complaints in check
This defense has to figure out that games are played for 4 quarters or more, not 3. Each of the last 3 weeks it felt like the defense just completely STOPPED in the 4th and allowed teams to get back into the game.
They’re not going to get bailed out every single week. I’m glad it still happened this week.
Video of Drive (ie Edwards catch + Holmes TD)
Can anyone find a video of that last drive or at least those two plays because I would want to put it on my ipod for tommorow haha
Incredible video. I imagine the NFL will take it down soon.

I am ashamed of all the all the Jets fans that left before that last drive.
They missed one of the craziest drives I have ever witnessed 1st hand. I was sitting right next to a Texans fan. I gave him the old “do you like apples? Well how about dem apples.”

Where were the tickets you won
curious how good the seats were.
Amusingly enough...
The game came on here in Vegas toward the end. I changed the channel JUST in time to see Sanchez throw the interception. I then turned the TV off.
However, after about 15 seconds I thought, “You know… maybe we can do it again. There’s enough time.” Glad I did.

What a crazy game
These guys are just on an amazing run. The bad news is that our run game does not look good at all, and that’s supposed to be the strength. But, the real talent may be in our receivers and QB.
The good news is that they are 8 and 2 and you could argue they haven’t really played their best football yet. Other than the Buffalo game, they have not played a real complete game all year.
lets go colts
Come on colts beat the pats for us.
effin peyton
The Pats have won a lot of games like this. Peyton throws an uncharacteristic pick. San Diego forgets the most basic rules and then effs up the last field goal. The Steelers forget that the pats have a terrible D. The Doll fans have a special teams meltdown. It seems like everyone brings their C game or does something really out of the ordinary to lose it.

Sanchez is gonna tear that secondary a new one. And Woodhead?
Bart’s gonna break something of his. He’s just too…small. Not a bad scrappy, slippery runner. But he’ll get crushed, between Harris and Devito.
So happy I went to the game today.
Beautiful weather, amazing game. I wish that more Jets fans stayed for the final few minutes, they missed something amazing.
