FISH FRY: Miami Dolphins Embarrassed By Chicago Bears, Shut Out On Primetime Television, 16-0

Tonight was a good night. The Chicago Bears took the Miami Dolphins to the woodshed, pummeling them 16-0. They dominated ALL aspects of the game and clicked on all cylinders. The Dolphins have now dug themselves a serious hole in the AFC East, and may have seen their season and playoff hopes go down in flames tonight. I love it.

Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown COMBINED for 6 carries for 11 rushing yards! That's terrible! Ricky should go back to smoking marijuana, he put up better higher numbers back then.

The Bears sacked QB Tyler Thigpen six times. You know, the supposed 'mobile' quarterback who was going to give Chicago all sorts of problems, according to many analysts before the game. Well, it didn't turn out that way.

I'll post the ESPN box score, because it's glorious. Note the three bolded statistics: third down conversions, rushing yards and time of possession.

Too bad.

I'd just like to congratulate the Miami Dolphins and their wonderful fan base, for defending Sun Life Stadium to the best of their ability, going 1-4 at home thus far this season.

Isn't that Pat White in the picture?

Isn’t he playing baseball now? Or did the Dolphins sign him since he was the best they could get?

You may be wondering how I love Alabama AND I love the Jets... I'll just tell you that the answer is complicated and will take too long to explain.

The Miami fans are living in a state of delusion if they believe their team is any good.

Awesome game, my Bears helped my Jets out. Marsh hurt himself and didn’t return.

A 500 team at best

If you are what your record says you are, the Fins are trending where they should be. I don’t know what everybody saw in them at the start of the season. They are a 500 team at best. And they are in a very competitive division. Injuries? Bwahaha. The Packers have been the walking wounded all season and they’re 6-3. Look at Indy.

So to the Fins players, I hope you bought tickets to the playoffs. Because that’s the only way you’ll be there in person. Will you be cheering for GangGreen? Didn’t think so.

Remember when they were 2-0

And thought they were the best team in the NFL? Sorry guys…can’t play Buffalo and Minn every week!

by EVT on Nov 19, 2010 9:19 AM EST up reply actions

Remember when Rex said the Jets were "The team to beat"

And " Superbowl bound ". Well guess what Baltimore beat you in the opening game. Unhealthy Green Bay beat you. You went into OT with the Lion and Browns and they both could’ve handed you fat loses with a couple of yards. " Team to beat "? Who hears that anymore? As Ocho Cinco would say “Child Please”. It’s still more of an accomplishment to beat the Pats. Sorry guys…Tom Brady and the Pats are more likely to go to the superbowl. They are going to prove that in their house.

Enjoy scouting the draft

That should start up for you right about now, no?

by JetGreen on Nov 19, 2010 11:00 AM EST up reply actions

I will enjoy it.

We’ll get a young threatening WR. Who are you gonna double cover then? We are building for the future. We are’nt settling for washed up veterans like your team. In the end we will be better then you and I can’t wait till it comes.

by Matt the Dolfan on Nov 19, 2010 12:49 PM EST up reply actions

Washed up veterans like Harris, Sanchez, Keller, etc...?

Hey but have fun with those mid-1st round picks. It’s seemed to lead the Bills straight to the bottom. Tell them we said hi when you get down there.

But, in all seriousness, you guys need a QB and maybe some depth on your line and of course a few more wins before you start talking trash.

by Timmaht on Nov 19, 2010 3:21 PM EST up reply actions

don’t you have something better to do… like figure out if the fins are going to get the first or second pick in the draft? the pats are going to really, really regret trading moss before the year is out, big mouth and all. and we still are the team to beat. don’t be angry the fins are not going to be one of the teams to do it.

by jaxopguy on Nov 19, 2010 11:05 AM EST up reply actions

I think the number 1 and 2 picks

are for teams that only win 1-3 games. Can you count because we have 5. Not so fast if Detroit and Cleveland almost did it, we certainly can. Your players are not that good. The coaching staff is.

by Matt the Dolfan on Nov 19, 2010 12:59 PM EST up reply actions

And you think your coaching staff and players are HOFers.

Go get a clue, we have a better record then your team and have beaten them. If you guys manage to win the follow up game then come back and debate but for the time being go figure out how to fix your broken and embarrassed team and stop worrying about being jealous about ours.

by Timmaht on Nov 19, 2010 3:24 PM EST up reply actions

Haha.

Sounds upset that Brandon Marshall forgot how to catch a football.

by Gideon Jay on Nov 19, 2010 11:36 AM EST up reply actions

You meen..

like Holmes does. I know Marshall has a higher catch ratio then Holmes. Ask anyone who they would rather have they will all say Brandon Marshall hands down. Sounds like your trying to hide jelousy

by Matt the Dolfan on Nov 19, 2010 1:26 PM EST up reply actions

Waaaahhhh

Hey there Matty,

Must really suck that all you Doll-fans now have to admit that your team isn’t as good as Gloria Estefan thinks it is. Awww…there there. (How’s Henne working out for you? Still prefer him to Sanchez?)

Oh, and by the way, the Jets beat the Pats by 14 points…with Randy Moss…and without Revis. Then we beat a Cleveland team who previously MURDERED the Pats by 20. So maybe you might want to consider watching football a little and not just your pathetic excuse for a franchise. I swear if I see another shot of Marc Anthony and J-Lo I’m gonna shoot myself. I’m embarrassed for you.

by struckanerve9 on Nov 19, 2010 11:46 AM EST up reply actions

Your just dumb.

That is all past. You don’t look back in football. Ever heard the term “Any given sunday”. Guess not.

by Matt the Dolfan on Nov 19, 2010 12:54 PM EST up reply actions

I wasn't looking back when I watched your team get embarrassed yesterday.

I was mostly laughing about how inept they were. I specifically like the one where Marshall went and taughted Cutler out of bounds and then pulled his hammy shortly afterwards. Karma is funny like that.

by Timmaht on Nov 19, 2010 3:34 PM EST up reply actions

Yet...

we are still 7-2 and lead the AFC, and with a couple of yards the other way could be 9-0. The so called experts change weekly who they think the “team to beat” is so I could give a crap what they say. NE is working with smoke and mirrors, with practice squad quality players at RB, a WR cops. thin and predictable, and an over achieving defense. We beat the Pats handily the last time we faced, and they aren’t even as good a team now.

And lets not forget that Cleveland team beat those same Pats the week before.

by Judgegavel on Nov 19, 2010 6:27 PM EST up reply actions

and for the love of all that's holy...

…will one of you Doll-fans please tell Jimmy Buffett that Landshark is just Corona but worse. And that’s really saying something.

by struckanerve9 on Nov 19, 2010 11:48 AM EST reply actions

Enjoy your wins now.

Your not going to get them in the playoffs. Mark is all calm now but once he gets to the playoffs watch in despair as he crumbles facing adversity. He can’t handle the play to stay mentality. Rookie QBs to go to the Superbowl 0 and that is not about to change either. I’m going to laugh so hard when you guys get into the playoffs to just get slapped in the face. Atleast our organization has a home they can call their own.

We are the closest we have ever been to the old days when we were good. Average age of our team is 26.47 you guys 27.16. We’ll be better in the end. If we had a better coaching staff we would be better right now.

by Matt the Dolfan on Nov 19, 2010 1:28 PM EST reply actions

Yea but thats completely misleading, your core players are your older players...

your complimentary players are who bring down your age, its the exact opposite with the Jets.

Sanchez, Mangold, Revis, Ferguson, Keller, Harris, Cromartie, Holmes, Greene, all 26 yo or younger, all pro-bowl caliber players.

by mad science on Nov 19, 2010 7:32 PM EST up reply actions

If you read any of the post here you'd realize the majority of us are realistic.

We know our team is prone to a let down if they don’t improve and they sure aren’t a Super Bowl team if they don’t patch alot of stuff up. You’re problem is you only choose to listen when someone is making fun of your pretty mediocre football team. It’s a game andget a grip.

congradulations matt the doll fan

congradulations on reaching a new level of dumb-ass-ness. your an idiot.

  1. IF IF IF IF IF…that is your argument…how about this if i won the lottery I would be rich. or If you faced reality you would be a bigger man and give credit where credit is due. or if you can predict the future you can tell me the winning lottery numbers
  2. i feel for you..i really do, you had high expectations for your team and your team fell short. Fins failed short this year. The Jets had high expectations for this year and we are meeting and excedding them…#1 in the AFC, and we beat all of our division rivals…you fins got beat by yourselves.
  3. your an idiot beacuse all of your if we did this and if we had that is NOTHING MORE THAN A LOSERS MENTALLITY. Here is some advise when you loose be humble and work hard…to say we lost but we did this right or that right is a loosers mentality because in the end this or that was not enough to get a win. The Fins screwed up this year it happens…but you screwed up in life…whah whah whah … grow a pair

by willmpk on Nov 19, 2010 4:37 PM EST reply actions

It wasn't because we weren't working hard Pet fan

Its what we were working on. The plays we were working on were not going to win us many games. When you have an OC that is pretty much a dictator and is as stubborn and irresponsible as Dan Henning. You ain’t going to win many games.

by Matt the Dolfan on Nov 19, 2010 5:31 PM EST up reply actions

Are you saying you’re the only team with a bad offensive coodinator? I can remember at least 20 posts mentioning how bad of a play-caller Brian Schottenheimer (our OC) is. He’s one of the worst playcallers I’ve ever seen. He’s called a wildcat run on 3rd and 15 and made Sanchez throw after throwing five picks while rushing for 500 yards.

We honestly don’t like our OC and many of us would like to have him fired.

Guess what. We have only 2 losses. Your argument is invalid, please try again.

You may be wondering how I love Alabama AND I love the Jets... I'll just tell you that the answer is complicated and will take too long to explain.

by bamajets88 on Nov 19, 2010 6:28 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

excuses.

Your team was never that good this year, even when healthy. The fins are the definition of a middling team at 5-5. Jets have a better o-line, secondary, qb, wr corps, rb corps, te, OC, DC, HC and most importantly, record. Barring a miracle, your season is over already. Time to start rebuilding, but it’s hard to woo free agents given the current state of your franchise.
