A Roster Spot Opens Up, New York Jets Waive Jarron Gilbert
It didn't work out for the Jets and former 2009 third-round draft pick DT Jarron Gilbert.
According to Jenny Vrentas and NJ Star-Ledger, he's been waived, which has opened up a roster spot. Earlier, Rex speculated on who might take the spot. Remember, WR Jerricho Cotchery has been ruled OUT for Sunday's game with a groin tear.
"I feel pretty good about Patrick Turner if we had to pull a guy up," he said.
Gilbert was drafted by the Bears, and the Jets signed him to their practice squad back in September.
There is a good chance we'll be alerted of who will be taking said spot tomorrow, so keep it here!
