Rex Hints That Mark Sanchez Will Play Against Houston Texans
Rex Ryan told the media today that Mark Sanchez is likely a go against the Texans.
We’ll see how he is. I think he’s going to be ok. (Being) able to finish a game generally means that’s a good sign that you can play the next week.
If he can go at all, the Jets don't really have the luxury of sitting him. Mark Brunell and Kellen Clemens are not very attractive options.
Backup quarterback is one of the real weaknesses on the team. Brunell is a great mentor, but I'm not sure that anybody really wants to see him on the field at this point of his career. The first attribute when searching for a backup quarterback should be the ability to play well. It's not clear that's the way the Jets approached the past offseason.

I honestly didn't think I had to worry about him not playing.
After how he looked the end of the game, I assumed he was good to go.
Darrelle Revis once won a game of Connect Four in three moves.
yeah, that was adrenaline, the same thing that help Dwight Freeney get a sack in the Super Bowl with a broken ankle
I broke my collar bone playing DE. I played two more plays because I didn’t know my collar bone was broken until I realize I couldn’t raise my arm over my shoulder. Once that adrenaline wears off, not only do you realize you are still injured, but also, there’s a chance it can worse off because you kept playing.

Haha
Brunell didn’t come to the Jets to actually play, did he?? I hope Sanchez is good to go. I can’t imagine what would happen if he wasn’t healthy enough to play.

I can...
We would run, run, run the ball. Maybe even activate McKnight so he can get some reps and help share the workload.

I could see Brunell throwing the ball...
As long as the defense pinky promises not rush him.

Ha, that’s the first attribute in any player. Well except for Gholston where we went, “He’s a genetic freak. Let’s go get um.” “Well can he play well? No? Let’s get un’ anyway!”
