Shaun Ellis Has Sprained Knee

PrintManish Mehta tweeted an update about Shaun Ellis today from the locker room.
Rex Ryan said Shaun Ellis has a sprained left knee, but he expects him to be fine.
That's certainly good news. The Trevor Pryce signing added some needed depth. It would have been brutal to lose it so soon.

We should bring back Green and go with a big 4-man front against Peterson and the Vike’s run-game.

howard green just wont cut it i guarantee if we played the vikings this week revis and pace would have played ….. we need our full compliment of starters

Ellis is a Jet and plays like one. Played with a broken hand in the playoffs for us. Some in the peanut gallery was saying get rid of him before the season started, some complained of getting LT and JT. These guys are old warriors, and still got game.
Craziiiiiiness!
Funny thing is, he probably wants to play for us again.

I see a real Defensive slugfest next Monday .
In a 3-4 Ellis cloggs holes more than uses his speed at End . He will be there . I see a added dose of Gerhart along with Peterson . Remember this . We win far more games when AD has less than 100 yards . Shiancoe’s health will be key . With Jenkins out you can’t really afford to rest Ellis can you . Maybe he will play 1-2 downs . Will Revis be ready ? And I wonder if your team is preparing for both C.Cook and C. Griffen to start . Our Defense is really getting healthy .
Offensively . I wonder if Brett has unfinished business with the Jets ? Doubt it . The Jets gave him his release . And Sanchez may develope into a solid QB . My only question with him is . Can he handle the weather that comes with New York ? Only time will tell .
He played well out doors down the stretch last year. The main key for the Jet offense will be how well the Jets run the ball against your D imo.
I didn’t realize you guys are better when AP runs less then 100.
In an Ideal world, I would have all ten fingers on my left hand so my right hand could just be a fist for punching.

I know that Ellis is a talent but the Jets keep pluggin’ holes with nary a let up! Isn’t it great to have a threatenin’/nasty defense again that will have all the have the Greenboyz on their schedule know they’re going away banged up & hurtin’… how long has it been anyway?
