I think everyone would agree that overall the offensive line has done a very good job thus far this season. We are running the ball as everyone hoped we would be (however LT not Greene has been the primary weapon....full disclaimer I took LT in the 8th round of both my fantasy leagues predicting a big season and hope it continues) and our passing game continues to progress.
I think the one major question mark coming into this season was not on the development of Matt Sanchez (as the playoffs proved he could be a very good QB) but on how Slauson would fare on the O-Line replacing Faneca.
After 6 games, I think the results have been encouraging to say the least. The Jets are top 3 in passing, scoring over 20 points per game, and are tops in the league at 6-1. But more importantly, we are developing a young OG who can help to fortify our O-Line for coming years and grow with this core group of guys. One of the biggest mistakes a franchise can make (ahem......Dallas) is not actively drafting and developing a young O-Line. Lose a guy on the line, and your season can instantly go downhill. I think Slauson is a bright spot on the current Jets team and will be an even bigger member of the team in coming years.
