I dunno

I kinda want the Dolphins to beat the Steelers, simply because I feel like they need to be cut down a peg or two. But then again, the seething hatred of the Dolphins in my heart tells me to root for a tie.

OH CRAP I totally forgot another one of my predictions came true!

As soon as they said that Roethlisberger was suspended for 4-6 games depending on behavior, I said it immediately that he was only gonna be gone for 4 games. I swear I’m like freakin’ Nostradamus this year.

I know they're in the division

but I’m wholly rooting for the Bills. First, it’s not like the Bills are going to compete for a playoff spot, but most importantly, it would just be cool if they beat the Ravens.

How do you let Ryan Fitzpatrick go 12-16 for 181 and 3 TDs?

Have you noticed...

That Flacco seems to move the ball more with pass interferences than actual passes?

by EVT on Oct 24, 2010 2:32 PM EDT up reply actions

Ravens had 3rd and 3 on the Bills' 7

Flacco was sacked for a 13 yard loss, and at first they called a fumble giving the ball to the Bills. The Ravens got possession in the replay, and scored a FG, but it was still a huge stop for the Bills. 24-13, Bills with 0:56 in the half

I don't want to seem like a broken record

But I’ve seen a lot of Raven games this season and they seem to get a lot of borderline calls. I’m not calling conspiracy or anything, they just seem very fortunate this year.

Well, they've certainly turned this game around in a hurry

But the Bills still seem to be able to gain yardage and score points against the Ravens defense. At the very least, they seem a lot more vulnerable than they did Week 1

Its hard to feel bad for the Dolphins when theyre banking on a goal-line fumble to get the win. The Phins had no business winning that game, they were outplayed. Glad they lost. And glad that the Steelers don’t seem to be all that at all.

by Crackback on Oct 24, 2010 7:58 PM EDT up reply actions

The refs blew it when they ruled it a touchdown instead of a fumble. Otherwise, they would have determined who had it before the replay. I don’t believe the call was biased or any kind of favoritism. They ruled it like they saw it and, unfortunately for the Dolphins, it cost them.

Officiating

What is going on this year? We had a terrible crew last week, as much as I hate to say it, the fish got victimized…and they were like 5 more guys playing for bmore. (the end zone int and the forward progress fumble in OT). They are totally deciding games every week….it seems like a real problem nobody is talking about.

I’m getting frustrated watching games between 2 teams I don’t even care about.

It’s standard protocol to call a play like that a fumble to avoid stuff like that happening.

I thought the past couple of seasons including this one

Have been so terrible in terms of officiating I seriously began to wonder if some of the games were rigged.

If they played 100 times, it would finish 50-50 in my opinion.

By no means do I think the Ravens are better than us, but they get to say they are because of the fact that they beat us. I’d definitely give us the advantage if we played again.

Had the Jets let Sanchez play, I think we win that game

I think Rex showed the Ravens way too much respect but losing might have been the best thing.

I’ve heard the Royals are where the Rays were in 2006. They’re about 2 years from having an awesome crop of youngsters in the bigs.

I heard that about 5 years ago too

I remember when Alex Gordon was going to be the next George Brett. They have this Kila guy they wouldnt use last year, even though they were done in May. They dont want to win, just make a profit is fine for them.

The Steelers game

Have the refs EVER been unable to determine which team recovered a fumble before? That just sounds like a crazy load of BS. I’ve seen insane pile-ons for the ball and the Refs were always able to determine who recovered the fumble.

I do hate those notices, I mean the same people have been watching 60 minutes for the last 50 years, are they really that confused when they turn on CBS and it’s a football game?

On paper they are a f—king nice team. No idea why they make so many mistakes on the field. Even the Rams are putting together a nice season thus far.

I actually agreed with going for it. His defense had let the Chargers go down the field in no time twice.

Putting the ball in Green-Ellis’ hands instead of Brady’s? I didn’t agree with that.

What a god-awful game manager and motivator, but holy gosh darn that guy can run a friggin’ offense.

The only thing I fear about Schotty leaving is that the “next in line” is Callahan. He’s a good Line coach, but offensive genius he is not.

Were the Chargers giving a lesson how to lose a football game??? WTF was that???

Pretend a lateral was an incomplete pass and watch a defensive player scoop it up and carry it in for a score — check.

Drop every single pass that hits you in the hands — check

Jump off sides on a game winning FG opportunity — check

Dumb ass personal faoul penalty at the most inopportune time — check

Make a nice 25 yard catch for a first down and jump up to celebrate without the ball and without being touched, leading to yet another turnover — check. And just awesome.

AFC East

This is a tough division. Pats probably had worst performance of the 3, and they won. Can’t take Phins and Bills for granted. Both trap games for us. Have to come out from break really better than last game or two.
