Jamaal Westerman Upset Over Cablevision-FOX Dispute
If you a Cablevision customer unhappy that you cannot watch FOX, you are not alone. It is hurting even professional football players. Take Jamaal Westerman:
Damn you Cablevision or FOX not sure who is in the wrong but I can't watch the games.
Westerman puts a public face on an incredibly unfair situation. Paying customers are hurt because two media companies with too much power cannot figure out how to split millions of dollars.

Dont know bout you guys...
but fox is also played on channel 25 here in ct and i got the giants game last week, so im fine.
Not that any cable company is great but...
Cablevision always has problems with networks and blackouts. Luckily for me, and bad for fairness to business, local government awards exclusive provider contracts to Time Warner. Most people I know can’t get dsl or fios or any other service besides Time Warner Cable/Road Runner.
Fortunately for me, it looks like TW pays it’s network bills without issue. Whereas this cablevision spat comes at least once a year.

And the beat rolls on...
Here’s an interesting article from Variety magazine.
“…Since May, the sides have gone back and forth on proposals for a three-year pact that included all manner of fee bundling for the broadcast stations and other Fox-owned cable outlets, even those that already have long-term contracts with Cablevision…”
It’s going to be a long fight.
