The Jets entered this weeks game with an atmoshpere that was against them. the bronco fans, the mile-high altitude and the referees. Oh yeah! I almost forgot, they also had to play against the denver broncos.
The entire game it seemed as if we were destined for a loss. Forget about the the factors that were pretty impossible to control.
The referees must have been hiding thier denver broncos jerseys underneath thier uniforms, there were a ton of blown calls against the Jets. Ive had friends (unfortunatly non-jet fans) tell me that the Jets got "lucky" off that last pass interference agains the broncos that put us 1-yard out of the endzone.
But look at the rest of the calls that left the Jets confused... Penalties that would give denver awesome field position and automatic first downs. Penalties that were obviously ridiculous calls, such as when the Safety Leonard supposedly hit Helmet-to-Helmet against Broncos reciever Lloyd, if reviewed, its obvious that leonard used a shoulder charge to bump him out of bounds.
That was just one of a handful of bogus calls...
The fans were incredibly hostile.... so loud that the camera that was recording the game was actually shaking...
Last but not least, the Jets were shooting themsleves in the foot with 2 interceptions and a stupid fumble....
Yet they still managed to pull off a win, with all these factors against them. The broncos had the same chance to take a win on that last drive, but they messed up.... call it karma, call it a blessing by the football Gods... but it does happen...
It was a well deserved win for the jets, after such huge odds and self-inflicted wounds.... the jets came back in superbowl fashion and snatch victory from the Jaws of defeat!
