Darrelle Revis 10/13 Press Conference
New York Jets CB Darrelle Revis, 10.13
On if he feels better now than he did after the game…
Oh, yeah. The swelling went down. It feels good. I ran a little bit with the strength and conditioning coach, Sal (Alosi), today and it felt good. The hamstring is very tough because it will feel good one day, and the next day it can be hurting. It was a high intensity game and I ran routes and played most of the downs, so that’s where the swelling came in.
On Rex Ryan saying that he wished he had known he was hurting during the game…
We had a talk this morning. We just talked about the harm for me and me doing the right thing. We talked about being 100 percent. During the game, it’s high intensity, I’m a competitor and I wanted to play. I just fought through it. As of right now, maybe I should have (said something), but I was just playing football.
On if he thinks he should have played in the game…
Last week, it was my decision to have. Before the game, I felt great. There were no problems. I just think the problem did come when I took a lot of reps. I hadn’t played in two weeks. I wasn’t here for training camp, so coming back in and playing a lot of reps, that’s where the swelling came in with the hamstring.

Kyle Orton is having a nice season...
but still you want Revis 100% for later on. Not sure if this is the biggest game in the world. Watch put Cromartie on Royal and all should be well.
Individuals don't win Championships, Teams do.

imho we really dont need revis for this game
cro ,lowery , coleman and the rook should be able to lock it down just fine, we basically made it this far with out him. so i say let him sit this game and go into the by week then he will be nice and fresh for greenbay. and the same goes for pace
I still say if the doctors clear him, and he feels ok, then he should play.
It won’t get stronger by continuing to rest it. And he won’t stretch it out the way it needs to be.
If anything, if the game is under control, sit him after half. It probably will tighten while resting during half and thats when he’ll really be at risk for reinjury. This way at least he gets some real reps in, and he can get some real stop and go action on it.
