Revis talked about his Injured Left Hamstring and said after the game that....
"Right now, it’s very sore and very swollen," said Revis, who didn’t believe that he strained his left hamstring again.
When asked about whether or not he would play against Denver on Sunday, Revis said,
"I don’t know, As of right now, we’re going to take it day by day like we’ve been doing and see how it goes."
If he is not healthy, then he shouldnt play, its as simple as that. With a bye week coming up after the Denver game, if Revis does sit out, he will have another 2 weeks, but only one game missed, to heal up before the next matchup against the Packers.
Starting with tomorrow and ending on Halloween against the Packers, if Revis sits out against the Broncos, he will have 19 days to rest his hammy and get it more and more healthy.
In a position like Cornerback, having healthy legs is very important and being someone who is always in one-on-one coverage, its even more important because he gets no help from the safeties.
The Broncos have a very good Air Attack and having Revis on the field if healthy will be big. But with the advantage of only missing one game cause of the bye week helps out and not having Revis out longer if he forces the issue and gets hurt worse is more important in my opinion.
If the Jets are smart, they wont force the issue and allow Revis to rest up, sit him out against Denver and give him a chance to finally be 100% and get to work over the final 9 weeks of the season being the best CB in the business.
