Not horrible

Come on now. That’s a gross exaggeration. We were able to run the ball fairly well and we sustained drives long enough to dominate time-of-possession in the first half. Second half wasn’t so hot (fine, it was terrible) defensively, but again we were able to respond with that nice touchdown drive from Greene. Overall, I’d say the Jets only looked horrible for about 15 minutes tops and at least mediocre-to-good the rest of the way.

Man, great game

Lots of stuff to shake your head at as a Jets fan. Sanchez is really friggin’ inaccurate and he’s ridiculously lucky to have still 0 INTs this far. That will probably end next week. The max blitzing on 3rd down needs to be more random rather than every single time, Favre read that overload blitz so easily. Revis does not look healthy at all, he was not playing like himself tonight for even a minute. Most of all, CAN ESPN PLEASE CRAWL BACK OUT OF THE BRETT VIKING FAVRES ASSES. PLEASE. I’ve never seen a team get that much praise for terrible mistakes in a game EVER before from the commentators. It was AWFUL.

But some awesome things to take away from the game—AMAZING blocking all game long. Especially in the run game against a team that is that good at stopping the run. This unit has gelled together and is friggin’ unstoppable. LDT and Shonn Greene… this is pretty much everything you can ask for from a tandem. Sanchez, although he is ridiculously inaccurate, has limited his mistake to just 2 per game. He has made incredible progress when all is said and done. Braylon Edwards—isn’t it amazing that today was his first drop of the year? He’s become everything we’ve asked for. I can’t wait till Holmes is back up to his true playing shape. Our passing game will be devastating (on Sanchez’s good throws anyway LOL).

Which was frustrating, because he looked like he was making good decisions – just not executing. Still, he didn’t make the killer mistake, and the defense and running game somehow cobbled together just enough to win. WHEW.
