Not a big fan of what the Buffalo blog said about Revis, and how it’s the media trying to turn him into the best cornerback in the league. Obviously spoken by people who haven’t seen him much this season, must of taken the games against the Jets off.

Caldwell, Payton, and Turner
Have to be ahead of Rex in my opinion.
Agreed.
Put those guys ahead of Lewis as well. This team was dealt some tough cards but they didnt exactly persevere. They started of 7-2 and finished 10-6 (only winning 3 of their next 7).
Manning
As MVP, I can see the argument for him (though I don’t particularly buy it), but I think offensive player of the year has to go to Chris Johnson, considering he’s the offensive player who broke numerous offensive records and was probably 85% responsible for any Titans wins.
Jim Caldwell delenda est.
Yeah, I think most people were thinking the same way as you. It was a tough call. Part of the reason I voted Manning for MVP was I thought he was the best player in football. My logic was if he was the best player, he would have to be the best overall player.
There’s definitely a strong case to be made for Johnson, though.

And peyton was also responsible for 85%+ of Colts wins. The impact he’s had this year has been unbelievable. Teams actually devising gameplans solely based on keeping him off the field?? Forcing belicheat to go for it on 4th down in the Indy/NE matchup?? He just gets in coaches heads.
Leading the 2nd-ranked best passing attack… 2:1 TD/INT ratio…and lead the Colts to victory via numerous late 4Q comebacks.
My vote would have been for Peyton as well. He’s just a leader, and he strives for greatness. The only guy you will see throw a TD pass, and then 5 seconds later he’s on the sideline by himself looking at diagrams, drawing up the next potential TD drive. He makes everyone around him so much better.

Best Offensive Player and MVP is an age-old debate.
BOP — Johnson would get the nod from men. 2000 yards is a rare feat, especially in today’s pass-oriented game.
MVP — has to be Peyton. His team probably would’ve finished undefeated if he had his way and his team is no where near .500 without him.
Worst Player Award
lmao…. if anyone deserves it, it’s jamarcus!

Actually calling him a player is offensive to the rest of the NFL players

The award is well-deserved
Just the other day, think it was yesterday, read that him and Seymour were no-shows at the FINAL team-meeting for the season….. and they found him gambling at the palms in vegas lol. Someone tipped OAK team officials off that he was playing blackjack there, and sure enough!
Total slap in the face IMO. Skipping a team meeting to go and spend his un-earned guaranteed money that OAK paid him.
…Rookie Contracts FTW?!?!?

Pretty Good Indication
that Revis isn’t going to win the real DPOY.
Eh, I wouldn't feel too bad about it
Woodson’s clock is ticking, he’s only got another 2 years or 3 tops probably before he drops off, and as a big time Michigan fan I’d be happy for him if he wins it. Revis is young and will have plenty of opportunities to get the award, maybe even multiple times.
That said, I wouldn’t really AGREE with it if Woodson won it over Revis, but whatever. I don’t put much stock into awards voted on by the AP anyway.
How can Peyton Manning win MVP but not Offensive Player of the Year
They’re saying Manning is the bet player in the league, but Chris Johnson was better on offense? That’s asinine thinking, almost as much as voting Woodson over Revis.
The Mets lobby Omar for a plan, and his plan, he likes his plan. The problem is that he didn't write his plan down 'cause that makes it paperwork, and that’s false hustle... Know what I’m sayin’?
they're saying the Most Valuable Player
if it was the same thing they would not have 2 diff. awards
J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!
Put It This Way RE: Peyton
If Garcon and Collie didn’t have Peyton throwing them the ball, would they have put up numbers anywhere close to what they did this season in their rookie year(s)? No.
If Joseph Addai didn’t get the benefit of Peyton’s vertical passing threat to stretch defenses, would he even be a RB1 anywhere else? No, he’s a mediocre back, but Peyton makes him a lot more effective.
