A Death In The Family
There is tragedy today in Jets camp as Casey Johnson, the socialite daughter of New York Jets owner Woody Johnson and heiress to the Johnson & Johnson business empire has died. She was 30.
Popular celebrity news site, TMZ.com, reports that Casey was found dead in her home on Monday.
Police report paramedics had already pronounced Johnson dead when they arrived at her Los Angeles home shortly before noon and it is not known how long Johnson may have been dead.
Johnson's death is speculated to have been from natural causes since a preliminary investigation turned up no signs of foul play. A final cause of death will be determined by coroner's officials, who will seek toxicology tests. Those results could take six weeks to obtain.
In a statement released through publicist Jesse Derris, the Johnson family says it "is mourning its tragic loss, and asks for privacy during this very difficult time."
Casey Johnson gained celebrity as the girlfriend of Tila Tequila, a reality TV star, who tweeted about the loss.
"Everyone please pray 4 my Wifey Casey Johnson. She has passed away. Thank u for all ur love and support but I will be offline to be w family." - From Tila Tequila's Twitter Page
I would like to extend my heart felt condolences to Woody Johnson and the entire Johnson family in this time of tragedy. Just two days removed from the high of a successful run at gaining a play-off berth, I can't think of a more heart wrenching way to come down from that high.
God bless the Johnson's and may Casey rest in eternal sleep with the good Lord watching over her.

I don’t see photos of this girl at the Jets facility or with Woody having dinner or with her mother shopping together or catching a movie. Only pictures of her life are half-dressed and kissing girls. Let’s cut the BS people. Based on her lifestyle it’s hard to believe the Lord is now watching over her, or that the Johnsons regarded her as family since she was written out of the trust. She lived her life on the gossip page, and not to sound callous, but that’s where this article belongs IMO.
You are a real moron.
You find it hard to believe the lord is watching over her now? Really? I am not the least bit religious, at all, and even I know that the Lord forgives anybody, and watches over anybody. It is a shame that you apparently have such a miserable life that the reporting of the death of the daughter of the NY Jets owner on a NY Jets based website somehow not only bothers you to the point where you just ignore it, but to the point where you insult the girl who just passed on and her memory, and her family. You must be just miserable. Congratulations, mom and dad must be so proud of you.

Calm down dude, and re-read the post. I’m not insulting anybody, am I? Just pointing out facts. Ugly truths maybe, but facts nonetheless. That qualifies me as a moron? Also, I’m not miserable at all (outside of being a Jets fan since I was 9, you must understand) and am sorry to hear that you’re not at all religious. If you were you’d certainly know that the Good Lord forgives none but those who repent and ask to be forgiven. In any case, it’s playoff week, let’s get back to football!
