I want Rhodes to be a Jet!
To be honest with you our Jets shouldn't trade Kerry Rhodes. The dudes is a stud and I believe he hasn't even scratched the surface of what his game can be. A meeting with Rex Ryan about what he invisions Rhodes being would be the start of something good, think about how good our defense could be! Kris Jenkins, Shaun Ellis, A Pass Rusher TBA,The two-headed monster of Scott and Harris, Revis, Another CB, Jim Leonhard and Kerry Rhodes. On paper thats great! So why would you want to trade this guy.
He announced he wants to come back! I sure as hell want him back! How about you?

I voted no, but you're not an effin dumbass New. Lol.
He either wants to be pampered or he wants to test the waters to see how he’s regarded around the league. Although we might take a step back if we lose him, it might be the better move long term. The team is in its infancy and seems to be on the verge of galvinizing into a perennial playoff team. Chemistry is everything, especially for a young team. And prima donna malcontents could do more harm than good at this stage. If we were already established, with established team leaders and team identity, we would be able to absorb guys like that. But right now the situation is still too volitile to allow for selfish, self-absorbed players like Rhodes to undermine the foundation we’re in the process of laying right now.
Yes, but not sure about "only getting better"
He can get better or he can get worse. To do the former he has to get a bit more motivated. The threat of losing his job seemed to work ing well, because he did will in the last 4 games or so (counting playoffs in those). If he plays like he did at the end of the season, keep him. If he plays like he did in the middle… off the bus, mister.
Exactly, I don't know about only getting better.
He is getting very close to where NFL players reach their physical peaks. He is about in his prime right now, at a point where he has been in the league long enough, and also short enough that his awareness and physical skills are probably at the highest point that they will be together in his career. He may get smarter over the years, but he will also get slower, whereas as a rookie he probably was more physically gifted now without the awareness of how to play the game.
"Relax, all right? Don't try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring; besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls. It's more democratic."

I say no....
because this is not going to be the strongest FA class and Kerry is one of the best at his position, and who will you get to replace him? I would rather keep him next year and maybe draft a safety and pass rusher than trade one to get one. It just wouldn’t make sense because of the way the cap will be next year.
