Lock the Gates at the Meadowlands

Indianapolis' blowout victory means the Jets cannot host the AFC Championship Game. That means there will be no more home games for Gang Green at the old stadium at the Meadowlands. The Playoff clinching 37-0 victory over the Bengals Week 17 will go down as the final contest, not a bad way to go out.

For the Jets to go to the Super Bowl, they will have to win in Indianapolis for the second time in five weeks. Let's not get ahead of ourselves, though. First the Jets have to end the Chargers' eleven game winning streak on their home field. That won't be easy.

Nobody ever said this would be easy. We won't have anything to complain about if Gang Green can somehow knock off the Chargers. Who cares where the AFC Championship is if the Jets are in it? If we can look forward to another trip to Indiana this time tomorrow, it will be the first time in my life I can honestly say I'll be happy the Jets are facing Peyton Manning.

Hey you made Rhyme!!

Here’s one from me :

Jets will do it with Class when they kick the Bolts ass. ;)

It’ll be a good game tomorrow, no more blowouts this weekend.

Darrelle Revis once won a game of Connect Four in three moves.

Lol yeah

It’s not often you hear “we’re playing P. Manning” and “yay” in the same sentence. But if we win tommorow, we should be hearing it.

"We're only going to score 17 points?"

Yeah...

‘Cause that means we would’ve come so far in this first season with a New Coach, New QB, and NEW ATTITUDE with optimism towards the future.

im actually somewhat glad their won’t be another game, that’ll just be 150$ more i can’t afford to spend:(((

What I wouldn't give

to have the Jets win this. I can think of one or two things in life I want more. To be optimistic I’ll suppress my predictions.

I hope the Jets dont follow the Ravens gameplan from todays game

Every year there is an upset in the second round, with the Ravens and Cards losing, I am guessing we are the team to be the upset. Cowboys/Vikings doesnt have an underdog, so the Jets will be the team to shock the nation.

What game plan?

Did the Ravens even have a game plan? After watching the game, it seemed as if the coach literally told the players, “Hey guys, it looks like we’re in this game. In fact, we could even win. So here’s what I want you to do: please, whenever we’re in a position for a critical first down, do your absolute best to get a penalty. Also, make sure you screw up any turnover we get. We can’t have those.”

I mean, their D held Manning to 20 points which is not too shabby when facing Indy. However, the mistakes were agonizing to watch.

Respect...

I give all the respect in the world to the Jets and their fans. Solid running game, solid defense, rookie QB & rookie head coach who believe in everything they are doing. You will be a force in the AFC for the next 3-5 years. Realistically though…..you are outmatched in this one. The matchups simply don’t favor the Jets. Prediction: Jets make this a physical game, draw blood and knock the bolts around…..but just don’t have the firepower to stick with ’em. SD 31 Jets 20.

We'll see...

The Bolts have one of the cheesiest schedules in the NFL this year. Aside from the AFC West being one of the biggest joke conferences right now (two games against Oakland AND two games against Kansas City, seriously?) they also faced off against powerhouses like the Browns and the Redskins.

Winning 11 games in a row and 13 games in a season is impressive. However, I simply don’t buy it that the Jets are as outgunned as everyone seems to think. I keep hearing that Rivers is good against the blitz, but y’all have haven’t faced a defense as good as ours and when you faced a similar defense (the Ravens) you lost.

GANG GREEN BRING THE MAYHEM!

It’s a contest that will have two team looking green midway. The mighty JETS and the chargers who will get so hard that their uniforms will turn green from picking themselves off the field so often.

Forget the so-called high-octane chargers offense – WE ARE FORT KNOX!!!!

Hey David

Who do you think writes more negative articles on the Jets, Cimini or Hutchinson? I just got done reading Hutch’s article on the San Diego receivers and now I am worried about them having their way with the DB’s. After reading the article you would think that there is no way the Jets are gonna be able to stop them. And he is a Jets beat writer!!

I think Cannizzaro is my favorite Jets reporter.

Cimini or Hutchinson?

Definitely Cimini.

Cimini without a doubt, he has been on the team for years. Constantly tipping us to lose, if we ran a search on his Monday morning articles, I think the words ‘I was wrong’ would be the most popular. Good sports writers on the Jets are few and far between at the minute, especially now Newsday have made their content subscription based. I don’t mind Cannizzaro at all, I enjoy Greg Bishop’s stuff at the Times, not really a beat writer though.

If you watch the press conferences, Hutch usually has the most questions. But my favorite is AP’s Dennis Waszak Jr.
