Hacksaw: Gritty Jets a tough matchup for Chargers
For those of you who don't know, Lee "Hacksaw" Hamilton is a radio personality that has been all throughout So Cal for years. He recently wrote this article about how the Jets are the toughest possible match up for the Chargers of the remaining teams.

Added this to the front page, as think it’s quite a good article, especially from outside the NY media. Liked this part:
The Bolts may well be the hottest team in the NFL, but now suddenly they are getting ready to face the toughest.

I totally agree with this guy's take.
Big play pass offense and no running game plays into the strengths of our defense. We want QBs to squeeze the ball and wait for WRs to get down field.
As a Chargers fan, I agree with his concerns
This game could go either way. I’m pretty confident that if it’s a blowout it’ll be a San Diego win, but I smell a tight one.
If you ask me, everything in this game hangs on the ability of the Jets to rush the passer. No matter how good the secondary, if you give SD even a couple seconds you’ll get hurt, but a great secondary can make pass rush easier, which is what you guys have been doing, allowing your downfield mismatches to free up an extra rusher. If that works here, you’ll win. If not, you won’t. Running the ball against the Chargers frequently works on a play-by-play basis, but if you can’t turn the ball over or generate great special teams action it’s a recipe for failure.
Another, lesser factor in this game is Braylon Edwards. Not that I’m anticipating you folks to have much luck passing on us, but if you do a good job setting up the run, you’ll be able to lob a couple low-percentage rockets; any such hits could be the difference in the game, like Louis Murphy almost was when we played the Raiders in Week 1. Conversely, if LDT keeps getting better like he has, y’all might be forced to respect the run, and that’s the kiss of death against the Chargers.
So it comes down to 1) strength vs. strength (NFL-best YPA vs best DYPA), 2) struggling stars on offensive weaknesses (WRs vs LDT), and 3) little things.
Like the Jets because their defensive strength matches the Chargers’ offensive strength, while their offensive strength matches the closest thing the Chargers have to a true weakness (the run game don’t count; it’s only weak in YPA, which isn’t important if you can make all the throws). Like the Chargers because they’re at home and have the three most important assets in all of football (can pass, can stop the pass, good special teams).
What is best in life? To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the cheerleaders!
