One thing that I am worried about, is that the irregular heart beat is not something that you can plan for, it’s not something that will give you a 24/48 hour warning. It could be the same next week as it was last week, in that 5 minutes before the game we are told he can’t go. Anyone else feel a lot better with some insurance on the roster?

I think the most insurance we’re gonna get is Jay Feely. There’s no way we should have two punters. As much as I would feel bad about it because it’s not his fault, we’ll either have to take another chance with Weatherford or cut him.

Rex just said that we will go in with Weatherford and he feels good about that.

Cool. I hope we don’t need him though. Let’s just score everytime.

How does that work?

Picking up someone during the playoffs?

Nothing like being a HOMER!

The fact is that the Jets don’t score much and the Chargers do. It is nice to think that the 5’8" Leonhard could somehow match up with the 6’4" and 6’5" receivers from San Diego, but that is not the case. NY is much better on ‘D’, but SD can put 8 men in the box to stuff the run, knowing that rookie QB Sanchez (12 TDs & 20 INTs) can not beat them. He has the 5th worst Passer rating in the NFL (63.0). San Diego has to hope Sanchez does not get hurt as they know to well that backup Kevin O’Connell can light it up.

Which NY team will show up? The one who lost to sub-.500 teams like Buffalo, Miami twice, Jacksonville and Atlanta, or the one who beat… oh yeah, they only beat the Bengals twice when they were in December choke mode, Indy when they rested their starters and the Pats in week two. The Jets haven’t beaten anyone good since Sept 20th. SD beat Miami (who beat the Jets TWICE), the Giants, Philly and Dallas – REAL wins… 11 in a row!

Jets do have the advantage of a great running attack, mainly because of their O Line. The trick is to win the coin toss, march down and score first, then hope to hold SD to field goals. Clock management is the only way for the Jets to win. If SD gets a 10 pt. lead, go shovel some more snow as the Jets will not come back. SD has scored 20+ EVERY GAME this season – NYJ only 8 times. IF the Jets can create some turnovers they might have a chance (SD is plus 16 and NYJ plus 4 in turnovers). The Jets must be up by 9+ in the 4th Qtr. as Rivers is great under pressure.

NY Advantages: Rushing, Defense,
SD Advantages: Experience, QB, Receivers, Turnover ratio, Passing, Kicking Game, home field and hotter cheerleaders
Even: Coaching (but coaches named Schottenheimer never win in the post season!)

J-E-T-S… Just End The Suffering

Congratulations on listing the D as one thing, and spreading the O out so it looks like San Diego lead in so many areas lol well thought out. Glad you joined SB Nation to get that off your chest, now you can go on with your enlightened day.

If you think this is suffering you have no clue about Jets football this year. Exceeded expectations, just another hater who gets satisfaction in trying to wind up opposing fans. The fact that you joined SB Nation just to post that, you went to a opposing teams blog before your own, speaks volumes about your character. Hey if it makes you feel good then I’m glad we could help. Have a good day.
