Mystery Player Says Veterans Not Happy With Rhodes Comments
According to Charles Robinson, senior NFL writer for Yahoo sports, one New York Jets player informed him that some veterans on the team were less than impressed with Kerry Rhodes comments about embarrassing the New England Patriots ahead of their trip to the Meadowland's for an AL East showdown this Sunday.
Charles Robinson tweeted:
Rex Ryan isn't upset, but a Jets player says vets aren't thrilled Kerry Rhodes used the phrase "embarrass them" when talking about Patriots
It is unknown who this player is, and which veterans he is referring to. Although I can only speculate, I have a feeling that they may well be coming from the offensive side of the ball. No sources just a hunch from myself

Fuck all that.
He didn’t say anything wrong. He ddn’t say the Jets would embarrass the Pats, he said to beat them you need to go in with the goal of embarrassing them on every play. I totally agree. Get’em Kerry.

I agree with you, I see no problem with what he said. However my mind is roaming as to who this mystery player is who is talking to the media less than 48 hours till game time.

Agree
I like the confidence. Kerry did not say anything that anyone else would say about a hated rival. Actually, the statement was pretty tame, you need to go in with the goal of embarrassing them on every play. A goal is not a promise, but a goal, an aspiration. Some set unrealistic goals, (in this case judging by what Buffalo did to the Pats) this is one that can be attained. Go at em JETS!

Not sure if you are folliwng twitter
But there have been some more developments tonight, with Rodney Harrison running his mouth first tweeting:
“Kerry Rhodes is not really a tough guy, i saw him pass on plenty of tackles… i want to see what kind of game he brings Sunday.”
which brought a reply from Kerry:
“I’m detecting a lil jealousy from @rodneyh37 he must wish he was playing 2morrow. My talent outweighs his ask belichick”
I’m thinking it’s a little playful talk, but it’s quite entertaining to keep track of

fuck a rodney harrison
He was voted the dirtiest player in the league how many years in a row by fellow nfl players? He’s a fucking cocksucker. And twitter as a whole is a fucking waste of technology and a sad statement on where we are as a society.

If I was Kerry’s teammate I’d have something to say to him as well. I have no problem with his mentality against the patsies but that kind of stuff has to stay in the locker room. As I mentioned when in the original article that broke the quote, the media knows by now he likes to talk and see his name in the papers, probably more than any other Jet. He’s got to have more discipline and awareness than that. Especially considering he’s a safety and those are 2 of most important skills of a player at his position on the field. If he can be baited that easily into a quote he needs to watch out for Brady’s pump fake.

As much as I think you may have a point about the locker room, I can’t stand these players who run to the media anonymously. If you have something to say, either go straight to Kerry in the locker room, or put your name to your comments. I always take these comments with a pinch of salt, because no name means no way of proving it’s authenticity.
