Peter King Picks the Jets Over the Pats
New England Patriots (1-0) at New York Jets (1-0)
I buy the Rex Ryan kool-aid. I also buy that Leon Washington is going to be a major matchup problem for the New England linebackers, who made Fred Jackson look like Bo Jackson on Monday night.
Prediction: New York Jets 27, New England Patriots 20
In other news, the Devil will host ice skating today at 3 PM, where Wilbur of Charlotte's Web will be flying overhead.

Good thing I got my hockey skates out..
and a new umbrella to avoid flying pig crap, cause this Jets team is going to win.

Allow me to clarify
The hell freezes over and pigs flying was referring to the fact Peter King is actually A) Picking the Jets B) Picking against the Pats and C) Picking the Jets over the Pats.
Not the Jets beating the Pats ;-)

The only UPSET
Would be if the Jets don’t limit NE to 14 or less points. NE will have it’s hands full with Cotchery and Stuckey against their corners. Keller against their safeties and LBs. Most importantly, no answer for Leon. When a D gets after Brady, he wavers (remember the Ravens and G-Men of 07 putting him on his back regularly). This D can do that and more IMHO. The NE o-line is not anywhere near what it was 2 years ago, the D for NE couldn’t stop a subpar O from Buffalo, and yet NE is favored? So-called “experts” stop living in the past!!! There is a new hungry team in the AFC east, and it is the NY JETS!!! Sure hope they release Clowney this week, would love to see him streak by for 6!!! NYJETS 26, NEPATS 10
The Pats hope that their “reputation” accounts for an extra body on the field. They want to to think their defense is still capable of doing what it did years and years ago. They also want you to think that their OLine can contain the pass rush. The truth is they can’t.
Once everyone wakes up and realizes that half of the 07 team has moved on/been traded/retired, (or are now 2 years older and closer to an AARP membership) and that this is just another football team trying to win 12 games to make the playoffs, we can accept the fact that even great teams in the NFL drop 2-3 games a year and those should be (in part) to the NYJ.
Like Rex says, we need to punch them in the mouth a few times and see if they still want to go toe-to-toe. This in all likelihood wont be a pretty game. It will probably have lots of penalties, we may get burned for some big plays, and the offense may turn over the ball. But we just have to dish it to them 2x as hard as they do us.

Should be a very interesting game....
I won’t count out the Pats… but I do want to see the Jets live up to the potential that is on this team. The only thing I see stopping the Jets from stomping all over the Pats this weekend, is A) Tom Terrific’s Luck; B) Our Rookie QB playing like a rookie; C) “Over-Scheming” if there is a word. Other than that, we could really Climb up the scale after this week as the NFL’s Top Team to go to the playoffs. Pats are still a great team, gotta at least give them that respect. So if we put a beating on them, it’s a reynolds for everyone else in the AFC East and other Conferences. Gotta love the Green and White!
As a Yankees fan and Jets fan, I can still say I don’t see the Pats losing more than 1 game. They have the greatest QB in NFL history, and he has NOT lost in 21 regular season games. The Pats MAY lose one game, but it won’t be this Sunday. They will finish 15-1
