Jets Probably Won't Pursue Hank Baskett
A few weeks back, trade rumors linked the Jets to Eagles receiver Hank Baskett. Don't expect Gang Green to pursue the recently released wideout, though, if you believe Rich Cimini.
There is a lot of speculation out there about WR Hank Baskett being traded or released by the Eagles. Naturally, the Jets are being linked to Baskett, because they're linked to seemingly every available veteran receiver, but I'm told the Jets have no interest in the 6-4 pass catcher.
One of the biggest talking points out of Philadelphia every year is how few playmakers Donovan McNabb has at receiver. Baskett never struck anybody as a real solution at the position. He's a nice deep threat, but would he really represent an upgrade over David Clowney?
I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to the Jets giving him a look, but I'm not going to be shedding tears if they don't either.

I live outside of Philly and tend to catch just about every Eagles game. Theres no upside here if the Jets want him to start instead of Clowney. He never did anything spectacular. In Comparison last year you couldn’t miss DeSean Jackson. It seemed like his name was being called in every major play.
And for being 6’4 only 6 TDs in 3 years isn’t that impressive.
