Maybe the equipment staff should buy some stick 'um for the players. There were four drops -- rookie WR Britt Davis (two), rookie TE Jack Simmons and Washington. Afterward, Rex Ryan admitted that no one has emerged in the battle for the No. 2 receiver job. They need a veteran. Former Giants WR Amani Toomer would've been worth a look, but he signed with the Chiefs.
That's surely bad news. Rex is a guy who never wants to display outward weakness. He's compared Eric Smith to Ed Reed and told us he'd be comfortable with Brett Ratliff starting at quarterback. If he's telling the media something's wrong, I'm guessing things are going very badly.
