Leon Washington Update
Or to put it another way, there is no news:
As of last night, the two sides hadn't talked in more than three weeks. That may strike some people as odd, but the Jets have a long-term offer on the table ($10 million in guarantees). If Washington doesn't sign by opening day, he'll play for $535,000. The Jets are in no rush. The ball is in Washington's court.
Sigh.

Even if he does sign....
He’ll play for $535K cause from what I read the contract $$ only kicks in next year. Also read that his agent is tied up with signing other players, but maybe they are waiting to see if the Jets make any last minute trades or sign any cut players this week (where the Jets may need the cap room) and if not, then push for the money this year, and if the Jets do use some of the cap room, then just take the deal that’s on the table.
