It's the shortest road trip in sports! The Jets play a road game on their home field tonight against the Giants, the annual preseason game for bragging rights. That is bragging rights over which team has better third and fourth stringers.
It's another chance for Mark Sanchez to face a tough pass rush. It's also the last chance for the starters to get real game reps before the regular season since they'll be pulled early next week to rest up for the Houston game.

Worst part of Jets-Giants game
When we are the away team, the TV coverage in NY is Giants. And these commentators in the booth are such haters. Sure, we look terrible out there, but geez, they are making this game even more painful to watch. If I didnt need to listen to all the penalty calls, I’d just put it on mute.

Ah, slingbox.......
I live in NC but my Dad lives in NY and has a slingbox (a small electronic box that plugs into your tv cable box AND your broadband internet) and it streams his TV signal over the web so that I can watch it on my laptop here. You dont pay for the service, just need to buy the slingbox, between $100-200. Only drawback is only 1 person can connect to each slingbox at a time, so me and my bro (who is in FL this weekend) cannot both be on at the same time.

I kinda forget
how ugly football is sometimes… the O started off slow, and the D had big penalties, but we’re up 17-13 largely due to turnovers, and the guys starting to play like a unit. Jets scoring 10 unanswered points.

Two new things this year for the Jets: Head Coach Rex Ryan and amazing Quarterback Mark Sanchez. Sanchez’s jersey number is 6. The legendary “Broadway” Joe Namath’s jersey number was 12. Divide 12 by 2 and what do you get? 6. I feel a GREEN New York Superbowl win coming very soon. :D
