Damien Woody Injured
Right tackle Damien Woody left practice with an apparent head injury.
SUNY Cortland - RT Damien Woody was injured in the morning practice, and taken into the locker room by Dr. Ken Montgomery. He had a towel over his head, and he looked a little out of it, so it might be a head injury. Wayne Hunter took over at RT.
It bears remembering how little depth there is not just on the offensive line but up and down the roster. For the Jets to have a good team this year, it's probably going to take 2006 style health luck. The Jets' run game utilizes the right side of that line a lot, and Wayne Hunter ain't Damien Woody.

Oh Crap!
This exactly what scares me most this year. We haven’t even made it to the regular season and already playing the “who can we get to fill in” game. The teams entire season hangs on the ability of its back ups way more than the ability of the starters because of such weak depth.

I don’t know, how many teams can actually afford good backups along the offensive line?
Sometimes you put the youngsters in and hope for the best and sometimes you might be surprised. Are there any backups in the league in the center position who are anywhere near the same level of a Mangold?
