Jason Trusnik on Film

Here are some video highlights of Jason Trusnik's college career. He played defensive end at Northern Ohio. He will compete for a starting job at a different position, linebacker, in New York. It's still worth watching to see his physical ability.

I think...

That the Calvin Pace suspension is going to end up making the team better. From now until week 5, you are going to have all of these guys playing their asses off because they will want to give Rex a reason to question putting Pace back in the starting rotation.

Now we all now that Calvin is starting when he gets back, but if these guys step up and play extremely hard and even fairly decently, they will gain confidence and maybe bump Bryan Thomas out of his role on the other side (which I wouldn’t be fully opposed to).

Calvin being out gives our backups valuable time to show their worth and make the coaches believe they can play, and we are going to need all the depth we can get down the stretch.

about 75% of those videos

he’s not even fighting through any blocks, and it didn’t really seem like he was overpowering or bowling over defensive lineman. though i suppose at LB he’d need range more than that ability. but he didn’t even appear to be especially fast… maybe it’s just me.
