Bart Scott has been one busy, media darling as of late. In an interview with ProFootballWeekly, the new Jets linebacker was asked his opinion on why the defense from last season didn’t live up to expectations. His answer was straight from the mouths of fans everywhere.
In as polite a way as possible, Scott pointed out the obvious – that "…it looks like they ran the same defense throughout the whole year" which allowed opposing teams to attack it.
One common complaint of Eric Mangini’s coaching style was that it was too predictable and both he and defensive coordinator Bob Sutton regularly came under fire from fans for their lack of creativity or excitement.
Hopefully, with new coach, defensive mastermind Rex Ryan running the show, the defense can live up to expectations. As Scott points out, "You have to always continue to evolve throughout the year."

Are You Kidding Me?!? They haven't even seen a game yet...I'd hold that call to Canton if I were you! (61 votes)
