Plax Could Be Suspended

Even before being found guilty:

Despite the fact that Plaxico Burress's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has said that he thinks that Plaxico Burress will be able to play "unobstructed" this year, the NFL is still reserving the right to suspend Burress.

"We are not going to speculate on that," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said. "We reserve the right to act accordingly at the appropriate time."

 

The NFL has suspended players before without trials. Pacman Jones is the most famous example.

 

The Jets have admitted to at least have some interest in Buress.

I have a tough time buying this. Pacman couldn't stay out of the news. Plax doesn't have a record of bad behavior. The league knows it can send more of a message if it waits and gets a guilty plea.

Regardless, I want Plaxico. Even if he has to sit 4 games, he's a major upgrade in the other 12.
