Do You Want Plaxico?
Plaxico Burress has a lot of baggage. Hewould bring the following positives for the Jets:
- Number one receiver
- Vertical threat
- Tall goal line target
- Safety blanket for Mark Sanchez
- Proven big game player

The one thing this team needs
is a big, physical receiver, and Plax fits the bill

Tannenbaum and Woody don’t have the guts to bring in a player like Plax. I wish they would, but it won’t happen.

its definitely a toss up
by signing Plax you’re definitely bringing in an added bonus/weapon. he’s an all-around receiver that has proven himself in the NFL. if the jets can sign him at a price that corresponds to his baggage, i.e. if he ends up going to jail, then i dont think that they have anything to lose and would be stupid to not go after him. However, i think the real question is, who would be throwing him the ball?? the O-line has proven itself, now we just need a QB that can survive the season and not throw INT’s….

you're bringing an added weapon on board when plax arrives no doubt...
too bad its concealed and might discharge into his thigh…Plax would be the wrong move for gang green. First, he has to get through all this legal crap and be eligible to play. Then, he has to deal with Roger Goodell, who likely will suspend him for some part of the season because of his actions “detrimental to the nfl”. Finally, when he at last arrives to the Jets, he’s still plax; the guy who doesnt like to show up at practice and frequently puts himself before his team. He was fined on numerous occasions by the giants for breaking team rules and recently I saw an article in where Tim Hasselbeck basically called him out for being a horrible teammate. Im sure he wasnt alone in that sentiment. For me, thats more important than anything. Guys like Plax you get rid of with a new coach/regime, you dont bring them on board.

HELL YES
Cotchery and Burress would cause havoc on opposing defense’s, even if we dont throw much, having those two in their every play will at least make defenses think twice of leaving 8 men in the box

the cherry on top
add burress and you compete.go player for player, coach for coach, with new england and any jet fan likes there chances. i think belicheck knows everything mangini knows. rex is different.

I do not see why the Jets would not make an offer if Plax is free to play the majority of the year. But, I am not a Jets fan.
