The Trade

To land Mark Sanchez, the Jets gave up the 17th and 52nd picks in addition to Brett Ratliff, Abram Elam, and Kenyon Coleman. This was not as bad as it could have been. At least the Jets did not give up any picks in next year's loaded Draft.

Although I am less than thrilled, I would be livid if I was a Browns fan. Ratliff is a third string quarterback, and Elam does not cover well enough to play in a read and react defense like Mangini runs. I still can't figure out why he wanted Elam so badly in free agency. Coleman was a nice pickup, but it should take more than Kenyon and a second rounder to leave the kind of players on the board they left.
