Report: Cutler Traded to Chicago
Jay Cutler's new home will be the Windy City, not the Big Apple. Denver has sent Cutler to the Bears.
The Chicago Bears pulled the big upset Thursday afternoon by acquiring Denver Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler.
The Broncos confirmed the trade.
To acquire Cutler, the Bears had to give up quarterback Kyle Orton and first-round picks in 2009 and 2010, along with a third-round pick in 2009.
To complete the trade, the Broncos had to give back a fifth-round pick in 2009. That pick was acquired by the Broncos from the Seattle Seahawks in a trade for wide receiver Keary Colbert.
This is the rare case where Mike Tannenbaum could not act decisively to land his target. The deck was stacked against him in this instance. Denver wanted a proven starting quarterback to replace Cutler. The Jets did not have one.

Jay Cutler
I love the jets and I don’t think a cankerworm like cutler should be allowed to go there..He should understand that NFL is business and any one can be traded…Please get over it jay !!!!! Just like Deion said he is an unproven QB he has only played 2 years for christs sake……

Cutler was the 1 in a million chance for JETS
You’re a dope. Why a “canker”? Why not say Culter manipulated the Broncos to get a situation he prefered. You are stupid: “The NFL, a Business…?” Of course!! And Cutler made his best business move for himself and is now on his favorite team.
The Jets NEEDED this QB, don’t you recall the bad old days of having no real QB? Cutler was a clear pro while still at Vandy when he tore up Alabama, etc.!! Maybe Clemens would have beat out Cutler and we would have been in great shape!
Ryan must have QB drafting plans, I cant relax with what we’ve got at QB, HOW can a new coach?

Jets NEEDED Cutler, it was their one CHANCE
Why didnt the Jet fight for Cutler?
Ryan MUST be a dolt or has some secret draft plan. But we KNOW what we likely have on the roster. I dread the season esp when we might have had CUTLER.
This is one of the few & best QBs in the world. How long do we have to suffer until Jet bosses realize a GREAT QB is needed to have a chance in the NFL? Cutler was a dream pick-up, not since Joe Willie’s early years could we have been so psyched to have a real star QB.

Jay
Jettisoned, you must not understand football…. Is he going to request a trade everything he hears a trade rumor ? You must be on dope. If he made a good business move why is he crying about wanting to stay in denver? You are really funny
