Sheppard's Deal Redone
The Jets have renegotiated Lito Sheppard's deal.
The Jets sweetened Sheppard's contract, giving him a four-year, $27.2 million extension through 2013. It kicks in next year, when he receives a $10 million signing bonus in March.
Sheppard's play in Philadelphia declined due to a tempermental nature. He sulked when the Eagles would not give him a new contract and then gave one to New England's Asante Samuel. This new contract should get him happy. Maybe this will give him the motivation he needs to reward his new team and punish his old team.

Eagles fan here
He already “punished his old team” when he stunk for us last year ;-) But I think the new contract should definitely lift his spirits.
